Pep will be here and not at Bayern in a few years time so if Messi fancies a reunion its a bit pointless flying into Munich imo.

No idea if you are right but it feels like Fantasy Football. With our owners we can dare to dream....

Has anyone noticed in the Microsoft Xbox advert that messi is playing against a team that has a strtip that's not dissimilar to city's just saying !!!

Proof of his impending arrival if ever it was needed!

That said, the **** scores against us so fuck him!

This signing wouldn't make much sense. Were talking about 100m+. We could sigh Filipe Luis, Thiago Silva and Isco for that kind of cash.

plus the commercial value, if you spent £100m on any other players we wouldn't make ffpr

I just can't see him leaving Barca and I would always lean towards him retiring in the number 10 shirt there being revered as the greatest that ever played for them.

If he did move it would probably be in the twilight of his career - but if there was any chance even a sniff of us being able to even talk about a possible transfer i would welcome it with open arms

As some have already posted on here, the remoulding of Barca with Laporta, Soriano & Txixi was kick started with a cull of players and then bringing in quality players that moved the club forward. What they also then did was sign a global superstar and the then Worlds best player in Ronaldinho.

Results though did not go according to plan straight away but they did eventually get where they wanted to be

I think that this is what we are seeing at our great club now - a change of direction, new players being brought in and a cull of the squad which is still a work in motion. The transformation into being a dominant force cannot be achieved over night considering the changes we are bringing in.

If we are following the same sort of plan laid out at Barca then we will probably go for a superstar player that will elevate the team and club to the next level. The problem at the minute is that we are not yet seen as a power in European football which we have to change and have done already by negotiating out of the group phase

We will see a few more of the players deemed surplus to requirements being moved on in January/Summer - the likes of kolarov, Dzeko and Garcia to name a few

I reckon that we will also try and get Isco from Madrid in January/Summer - the possible big signing will come after the World Cup imo

For those saying Messi will never leave Barcelona he is Argentinian not Catalonian. Can anyone name a foreign player who has been a one club man?

Maradonna left Barcelona to play in another top European league, for a team in sky blue. It's not inconceivable for Messi to do the same.
