For those saying Messi will never leave Barcelona he is Argentinian not Catalonian. Can anyone name a foreign player who has been a one club man?

Maradonna left Barcelona to play in another top European league, for a team in sky blue. It's not inconceivable for Messi to do the same.

Ryan Giggs

This signing wouldn't make much sense. Were talking about 100m+. We could sigh Filipe Luis, Thiago Silva and Isco for that kind of cash.

all this 3 put together aren't as half as messi class..so spending 100+ M on messi make the world of sense

Agreed Messi would be the ultimate signing for our club

Looking at this team we have now, we are a top LB and CB short. Could do with a top holding player too. Does Messi really add that much to our team when Aguero and Negredo are doing so well? Granted he is the best around and imo the best ever but we are working at the moment and for the sheer cost of him I'd sooner strengthen our weak areas.

Take two Anadin pal ;)

Messi in this team wins us EVERYTHING.

Agree on the need for a top left back and centre back.

Messi is a genius. I cannot say anything more. But for his price I'd sooner bolster the whole team. Bayern Munich don't have a player anywhere as near as good as Messi, but they have a complete team. That's the point.

We are a LB and CB short of an elite team, we also could do with a world class holding mid. Once we have them we are fine, also a GK but that's not vital if Hart comes back to form. Kolarov/Clichy and Lescott go, replace them and we are on the up. For the sheer price of Messi we could buy Vidal/Gundogan, Hummels and Shaw with money to spare.

Hope all is well Tolm :)
