City bid for Messi

According to our sources, Manchester City have made enquires regarding Lionel Messi. We understand the club owners are ready to make world record bid for the superstar. This information has come from a trusted reporter who is close to the club; the source believes the starting bid would be around £110 million. We believe the bid will be submitted in the summer.
This info is 100% spot on. We would pay a little more than £110m but not a great deal more I suspect. And that should be enough.

That's a bargain. I would pay double that.

Incidentally, that's for Lionel not Leighton.

The hypothetical chance of having one of, if not, the best player ever to have played the game & some people would rather strengthen other areas?
The chance to win trophies will always be there & would hardly be hindered by his arrival, the chance of having a player of such immense natural ability won't.

Sure he's already inspiring a few future manc Messi's imagine the effect if he was wearing our very own sky blue.
Come on City do it! Not for me but for the children! ;)

I assume he didnt know much because at the time he had just joined or was about to join? The last bit though...

Surely we're not saying indykaila is now a source, he is one of the biggest wums on Twitter.

Not that I'm going to stop it getting me very excited.

Can't see us signing Messi and we're best off not deluding ourselves into thinking it is going to happen anytime soon. If it did happen though, I think I would genuinely cry with joy.

You could flip that delusional comment by saying Barcelona or Real Madrid have no chance in signing Aguero in the next couple of season. As painful as it sounds don't rule anything out in football and start saving for your hankies just in case.

Next you'll be telling me that Jennifer Aniston is on her way to mine for a bit of special time.

Hang on, there's someone impatiently knocking at my door......
