Non of them players want to join City aren’t anything close to being attainable. We’ve got a golden opportunity to sign the current best player in the world and the greatest of our life times. People claiming Messi is past it are very stupid. He's still got a lot to give.

I'd even argue and say if he were to sign for City, he would be twice the player he has been in the last 18 months.... and he was still amazing in the last 18 months. I feel he's lost motivation playing for us in the last year or so due to the team, board and the manager. He just hasn't had the right team around him. We haven't played the type of football he likes.

Put him in a team under Pep, I guarantee you he'll dominate, especially with the quality you have in your attack.

Messi has massively declined. Look at his stats. 25 goals from 33 games in the league last season (granted he would have finished top scorer in the prem but that's not the point). He only got 25 assists (again would have pissed the prem assist charts over the POTY Kev but again that's not the point).
Let's be honest when was the last time he won the balon d'or? Ask yourself is it worth buying someone who last won the award last year!

The thing is Marvin, and this has been proven time and time again, you don’t actually watch their matches and just pull out random thoughts from your own mind with no actual evidence behind them.

In what way are Neymar and Mbappe better than Messi? Messi scores more goals, gets more assists, is better at set pieces and is still a better passer & dribbler than both of them.

Messi would destroy the French League playing for PSG so it’s not even a fair comparison anyway, even if Messi still comes out on top.

Messi scored 3 goals in this season's Champions League. There's a direct comparison to be made in the same competition

I think Messi would easily score 30 league goals a season with the chances we create. The best attack in the PL would become ridiculous. We just need the defence sorting aswell. That is clearly still a big concern even with Ake.
