Anyone know how the pre-contracts work in regards to something like a serious injury occurring after it's signed? If City committed a large financial package to Messi in January and he got a bad injury in April or something are we protected?

I still hope he won‘t come. Watch the Barca games how slow the attack gets whenever he has the ball and how fast the ball moves when he is not involved. It‘s
Not 2015 anymore. Guy will get his stats but overall not destroy teams alone.

I am guessing here, but imagine it would be subject to a medical.

It's going to get ugly ahead of a possible vote. I did not believe for a second Bartomeu would resign so now trying a couple of different tactics: 1) Refute the validity of the already validated signatures (Due to less than .06% forged signatures) & 2) Push to delay the vote due to COVID and gathering too many socis together

The media arms will surely push to influence the vote in their favor as well. It is Trump-esque

If Covid wasn't enough to recognize the season ended later (and thus allowing Messi to leave, like he wanted to), then he shouldn't be able to use Covid now in an attempt to remain in power.

Moreover, the mere fact that sufficient signatures were obtained during COVID confinement and a media blackout where most members weren't even aware of the motion tells you a lot when you consider more signatures were obtained for such a censure motion than any time in the club's history

But as I have said, Bartomeu & his corrupt cohorts cling to power like any tyrannical ruler in the face of overwhelming precedent for their dismissal/removal - they will fight until the end since they have nothing to lose as prison & millions of financial losses will be their fate

How many signatures did Rosell collect when he started the no confidence against laporta?

Is it true that if the second phase of the motion happens and they are successful in removing bartomeu ,then the new board has to take over the debt and the mess and bartomeu plus the board won't be charged for anything?

You have to collet the minimum 15% of registered members and at that time in 2008 ((Freixa, Barto & Rosell) it was just around 9k - they got it and voted (60.8% to remove Laporta). Just before Pep & Laporta led the team to win 6 trophies

Benedito (Another Presidential candidate) tried in 2017 for a motion of censure against Bartomeu and gathered just over 12k votes (4k short)

Not the new board, the new board will only be responsible for financial decisions they make - this is a bit of propaganda making the rounds at the moment to scare socis from voting to remove. Trump-esque

Messi will join City in 2021, maybe even in the winter break. Barca probably want some cash for him.
