A few of those, swap Barcelona for City and you might be quoting parts of BM. Nothingnwrong with being excited about the prospect of Messi and/or Haaland being at your club.
Other than debt of course, but why would anyone care about that when it comes to Barcelona.

See, the problem Messi has here, judging by this tweet.... their team will not be competitive next season if they're relying on La Masia players. They'll most likely sign free players like Depay, Gini and Garica. Not bad players, but not good enough players for a competitive team. If anything, Barcelona could actually struggle next season if Messi has to play with a bunch of youngsters.
It's all a big maybe regarding reducing the wage bill and selling players. Players like Griezmann and Umtiti won't go easily. Griezmann is on 800k a week and Umtiti has been injured and is on 240k a week. Then you have Coutinho, who is currently injured and hasn't been playing well (he's also on 300k plus a week). Pjanic is 31 and hasn't been playing (he's on 150k a week). If they were to release/sell/loan those players, it won't be till later on in the transfer window. By then, they won't be able to replace them with better players. In other words, they won't have much to spend if they loan players out. Then, they have to pay the banks 266m euros in June (they also have to pay another 160m by the end of the year). Then, they have to give Messi a big signing-on fee and his 33m loyalty fee.
Laporta is taking a big gamble here just to keep Messi here. He's willing to get rid of the experience depth they have just so they can afford to keep Messi there. Laporta can honestly put them in worse debt than they currently are. Actually, when he first took over in 2003, their net debt was only 150m euros.... when he left, their net debt was over 450m euros. He also increased the wage bill by a lot.
Messi has to tread carefully with Laporta because he isn't as great as he makes out. He got lucky last time.
