No not at all, some players just have that much affinity for a club that nothing, (money included, of which he has plenty already), can lure them. Yaya from barca to us was different, but Messi has no reason to leave Barca for us. All he knows is to play for the biggest club in the world, so why would he step down to us? That's what it would be for Messi, a step down. Yaya had played for smaller clubs before Barca, so coming to us wasn't that foreign for him. Like I say, anyone else now we could get, and that wasn't the case before. To not be able to get just one player though, well that's not bad at all is it really? I just don't see why Messi would leave Barca for us, only Messi though. He is Barca. Anyone else yes, like we got Yaya, but not Messi. He wouldn't now, but no one can predict the future and for that reason no one can say that it will never happen.
Even now I don't think it'd be THAT big a surprise. Who knows what the football world will look like in 3 years time?
