From memory there were two metro lines (blue and yellow?) and the City fans were advised to avoid using one of them prior to the match.I was just about to book the Radisson Blu Hotel next to the stadium, but now I have my doubts.
Was it not possible to walk into the Metro and out another exit?
Is it better then to just get a hotel in the city centre?
However, our hotel was next to the line that we weren't supposed to use. This wasn't a problem before the game, and we virtually walked a complete lap around the stadium, but after the game everyone was frogmarched down one particular route to the other line.
To be honest I might have adopted a different approach if I'd been on my own, but I could sense that my Mrs was feeling intimidated by the Riot Police.
You might be okay in the Radisson, but to save any hassle I've booked one near the centre
