Same as everyone I've had some shockers
Hilman himp bought with a few mates when 14 we drove it on an old pit top and cut the roof off for open top driving.I've no idea how it lasted the 6 weeks school holidays.
Toyota celica st when 17 bought from an elderly family friend, put some L plates on it and cruised around without insurance and mot.Looking back it was a lovely car only 12k miles when I got it I part swaped it for a Suzuki gamma when got bored a few months later.
Talbot horizan an absolute shocker, the gear stick would often come off when changing gear things just fell off it on a regular basis. On any given day it would refuse to start or whilst driving the engine would just cut out.Everytime you got from A to B no matter how short the journey it was a minor miracle.
Datsun 140j
Mini cooper which didn't like rain
Ford capri 1.6
Capri 2.8 rolled it in 3 weeks I really thought i could drive but I couldn't.
Capri 2.8 some shit nicked it
Ford escort Van my for work my first brand new buy.Had 6 others over the years.
Fiat x19 money pit but fun
Toyota celica great car I kept for 4 years never failed a mot cost me nothing.
Toyota supra turbo silly buy lost a packet on it.
New Ford escort 1.3 family man now so sensible car was needed.
Ford mondeo
Ford modeo st 200 which was written off.I was away on holiday and when I got back the car was still parked on the road outside the house but with half the back end hanging off,a joy rider ran into the back off it after loosing control while being chased.
Rover sterling which i reckon did about 10 miles to the gallon with your foot down.
Volvo 850 a boring,boring,boring car
Alfa romeo 166 shit car had it less than a month
Another sensible Mondeo
VW corroda,I had to have one when seeing the spoiler lift on the move,a rocket ship that you could spin the wheels in 3 gears. Hardly drove it though too busy with work so mainly sat on the drive which was shame it really was a lovely car.
Porche boxster which was the most stupid buy.Took works van for mot and walked around small car showroom next to it,I'd bought a couple cars from there so owner knew me.I had a hour to spare and jokingly said I'll nip out in the boxster he threw me the keys, within 10 mins of getting back I'd bought it.3 years later I got rid after putting just 10k on the clock and I reckon my mate put 7k of that on it.
VW sharan vr6 another impulse buy when i was running kids football team, great car and still have it parked up in a garage with just 16k on the clock.Mint condition I might roll it out in about 20 years.
Nissan primera probably best car I've had which never missed a beat drove like a dream.
Mgf ,written off bloke drove into me instead of hitting a fox.
Now driving a Mg tf and despite what people say about build quailty and it's bad reputation I think it's a great fun little 2 seater which averages 30 to the gallon.Nippy little thing and it handles like a go cart. It's more than likely going to cost me a bit over the next few years but I quite like it and might be keeper for a few years.
The worst was the Talbot Horizan which was a shocking car nerves of steal needed to drive it anywhere.
Best car was No doubt the Nissan,I sat the car 5 months without starting charged the battery and it a ran like new on first turn of the key.Drove like new from day one without so much as a rattle from anything in the 6 years I had it.
