Live performances you feel so lucky to have been at.

Nirvana, King's Hall, Belfast, 1992. What a night that was!
That gig was out of this world. Nirvana at their peak and supported by Teenage Fanclub and The Breeders. Not sure if you’ve ever seen this and a few other clips on YouTube.

Other one for me was Oasis in front of about 500 at the Limelight in Belfast. It was a Sunday night and they found out that Definitely Maybe had entered the album chart at number one. Spoke to most of the band in the bar before and after. Liam wouldn’t believe that I was a blue “i don’t fucking believe you” and Noel told me when they were huge he was going to buy three Brazilians, happy days.

The one that got away was The Roses at Maysfield a few days before they played Glasgow Green in 1990. My bro was laid up in hospital and gave me his ticket. I’d just turned 14 so didn’t fancy it on my own. Little did I know that would their last couple of gigs as they were back then, still wounded now!

Better support than we had at their Maine Road gig mate; Belouis Some then Status Quo!
I was at that Roundhay Park gig too, and my god was it special.
Went back there for the first time since then last year for a parkrun in the pissing rain, but it still felt like a special place for me.

The concert was on a really warm Sunday wasn’t it?
He came on 4.20pm and played till gone 8pm. Incredible memories of that one.

Great clip. I was at St James Park to see him, the Born in the USA opening still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

Seen a ex German pornstar lookalike in a selected club in Manchester doing her live show with some guy call thorin(I think that's his name)
Wasn't worth the entrance fee as it was over in 30sec..

International 2 lol
I was there. First gig as that name, was Slosky's.
The place was well over capacity and do you remember the lighting falling and almost hitting Paul Heaton?
October 86 I think
It was rammed but I got a place on a balcony. I remember someone throwing a pint glass at Heaton and he stopped the gig and offered the guy out. Fantastic gig.

We were on the balcony to the right looking at the stage.
Dont know if you recall - I was with some friends and halfway through 2 of the girls said they were going to the bar. No big deal. But they didn't. They got to the side stage instead and slipped a roadie a note for Paul Heaton. He gave it him and he read it out asking everyone to sing happy birthday to one of our group. 3000 people singing happy birthday to her. She was in tears.
A few weeks later someone advertised a bootleg in the NME and I got one and copied it for everyone in the group. Brilliant tape.
