Journo and professional Liverpool fan Tony Evans was on talkshite earlier and wasn't singing from the approved LFC hymn sheet. He basically said the owners were living in cloud cuckoo land if they think Klopp can do everything and make them challenge for the title. He also said the big clubs always sniff around the best players but non of them were sniffing around any Liverpool players. He quickly added that Liverpool were a big club too, but too late for the death threats not to be in the post.
He was quite scathing about the club not having any direction or plan and it was refreshing to hear, especially from one of their own.

I have a lot of friends who are Pool fans and they seem to think the team's future success is down to the nature of Klopp's ability. But they never to have any questions about the ownership. And which I think is kind of naive considering John Henry, the main shareholder, has made some questionable decisions as a sports owner. Yes. He brought some championships to Red Sox. But who allowed the most capable GM in the game to leave? John Henry. Who fired the best manager in the American League over pizza and beer in the bullpen? John Henry. Who allowed the front office to dismantle the best pitching staff in baseball? John Henry. I see him as a prudent billionaire investor who secretly worships George Steinbrenner and has a complex about the Yankees.
But to think with him in control of the bankroll that your club I'd destined for silverware..... I don't see it as a sure thing.
