We've won it 6 times ..new Liverpool song before We've even played them.. come on City so can't wait for this one

Huge game for whoever plays left back. In the first game, the space between Otamendi and Mendy was ruthlessly exploited, whereas in the second game, they funneled all our play onto Delph, before the injury, and then swarmed all over him. His hesitancy and lack of aggression arguably cost us the opening goal.

I hope we go with Danilo in there, with Silva and Sane making supporting angles. Indeed, switch Jesus for Aguero, and the starting eleven that won at the Emirates would do.

I know some are worried with our history at Anfield and the result from earlier this season but one big thing to remember, we didn't have Merlin or Vinny for that one. Those two are going to be huge for us. Here's my team:

Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Danilo, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva, Bernardo, Sane, Jesus.
Sterling scored yesterday but worried about him at Anfield, also think bringing him on as a sub with fresh legs could help us around the 70th minute. A score draw would be a great result, I'm going for a City win though, 1-2.

...................Ederson............
...Otamendi...Kompany.....Laporte...
Walker............Dinho................
.............KDB.............Silva.......Sane
Bernardo..........Jesus............

I go for something like this with Raz as a bench option and Sane and Silva occupying the left side to strangle anything in front of Laporte.

The fact that Liverpool have overloaded is at left back and in central mid. I just have a feeling that we'll play 3 at the back and play 3-4-3 with Silva in a free role:
----------------- Ederson
Kompany Otamendi Laporte
--Walker Fernandindo KDB
--------------------Silva
Bernardo Aguero/Jesus Sane

I wouldn't start Sterling as his head isn't right at Anfield. I'd Probably bring him on as a sub when Liverpool start to tire though.

I think we’ll see Danilo start as well. Delph hasn’t played, let alone started in a long time so I can’t see him getting nod here. Salah would destory Zinchenko so he’s not starting either. Pep tried Laporte vs Everton but he looked slow there IMO, so risky to start him against such a pacey player. Danilo is best option and Salah likes to cut inside so it should help Danilo being that he’s right footed.

I thought Mendy was very poor defensively in the first part of that game
