I disagree, foden should have ran Milner into the ground but kept passing backwards and bernado played about 5 passes that were shit under no pressure at allHard to figure out that display, We looked good in spells of the game, Other parts we were horrible. Alot of it has to fall on Pep as there was absolutely no need to change a winning formula, We are in tremendous form of late and changed our way of playing to accommodate the Dippers. Pep has shown Liverpool far too much respect today!
As for the players, I thought the standout players was Foden and Bernardo both showed bollocks as always in this fixture especially Bernardo! Pity they rest couldn't do the same...
As for VAR...FUCKOFF.
At one point there was a three on one when he was running at our defender, Salah was completely on his own and Nunez held onto the ball and took a shot. If he was one of our players he’d have been slammed.nunez was crap! he fucked 3 vs 1 situations, liverpool should of scored more if it wasnt for that moron
Talyor let the game flow, he also was as much a twat to them as us tbf, if anything and it isn't a suprise blame that **** Darren England on VAR, he did us over a few times last year, Taylor was letting such niggling fouls go by all game and even that one, England has brought it back and left Taylor no choice.Trouble is you can say we're soft, but I blame the refs. Teams always get away with it, we don't. You can't allow the game to "flow" if it means you're getting kicked around the park. A foul is a foul, our goal was disallowed for a soft one yet plenty others were let go on both sides. No consistency.
He had. He had a header completely alone, a 1v1 against Allison, a good pass from KDB that he was not as fast as usual, and a pass from a great Gundo play that he fucked up with his first touch and made his shooting more difficutl. Did you even watch the match?Did Haaland have a single good chance?
Pep has explained often that he doesn’t make changes just because we fall behind or we haven’t scored, He keeps things the same as long as the game is going the way he wants, if we are on top in possession and creating chances.
So how do you get to 75/80 minutes without creating a single chance for your goalscoring machine and think “Nothing needs changing here, this is going fine”?
Bringing on Alvarez for 1 minute is a piss take as well, clearly he’s not expecting the kid to do anything, so what’s the reasoning behind that?
We will still win the league, this match doesn’t change anything there, but it’s certainly got me tempering any CL hopes.
Think he means cup semi, charity shield and today.Eh? We drew both games 2-2 last season.
He and Rhodri were immense today.Bernardo put a smile on my face today. Absolute legend!!! :)
Keeper didn't have control of the ball and Taylor let those fouls go all day.Shirt pull is a clear foul, and Haaland didn't reach the ball before the goalkeeper.
