As well as they can play and beat us though that's the concern. We don't seem to have the bottle for it.

De Bruyne and Cancelo were absolutely shocking, both in terms of positional play and quality on the ball.

That Liverpool team was an embarrassment and they beat us because both Pep and the players thought they were playing the occasion rather than the game.

Only Phil and Eddie comes out of that game with any credit.

What's Pep fucking waiting for, Alvarez with two to go?

Still find it daft that despite all the shit he let go, he called that foul on Fabinho…makes no sense to me. Hey ho. Have to keep it moving I guess…with a bitter taste in my mouth
 
Not sure why we have this "We must beat Liverpool" narrative. The facts are we need to beat Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea. If we only lose to Liverpool this season, including at home but beat all the above we walk the league again. They have started dreadfully but it was their cup final today. We have bigger fish to fry.

Pep wants his defenders to be perfect 1vs1...however against the likes of Salah and various others that is impossible 100% of the time....and it only takes on mistake to win/lose you a game..

Scousers defend deep and hit on the break...they also outfight us and thats something else we constantly lack despite teh technical brilliance of our players...

They make us pass it around lots in midfield by pressing in the middle thrid...they dont press in the final third as that spreads the game out too much but in the middle third where the game is then more compact if it breaks down the space is in behind.........we pass pass pass and liverpool just wait for the mistake caused by their pressing which invariably arrives.....today it happened from the first minute.

If everyone ran and through themselves around like Bernardo Silva then it wouldnt be a problem but the likes of Cancello, Ake,Mahrez (in the past), Gundogan (in the past) and KDB from time to time, struggle when teams get in their faces. ....And when i say like bernardo im not just talking about the distance he covers but the way he goes into tackles, the tenacity he shows..the fight he shows.....those that Ive mentioned dont show that fight...they are far too nice

Other teams will out battle liverpool.....
Liverpool also raise their game against us every time....we dont
