No, not at all.

Disapointed I coultdn't watch it in the hotel at the time, but delighted now I couldn't.

Avoided plastic liverpool pubs thankfully, then went out and had a great (one of my best ever) meal in a med (greek/turkish/italian) small place, ended up chatting with the chef/owner/owners wife, about their journey, lovely people.

And we FUCKIN won at anfield.

Why Always Us?

To be fair, the decision at the end (which was completely right) was worse for Liverpool than it was for us. I don’t know why people want a goal more than seeing Szoboszlai rightly sent off, the rules got applied completely correctly.

That felt sooooooo goooooood!!! Don't let the scouse-loving media persuade you that our very young side wasn't the dominant side - we were the better side by a distance. We ran the first half and second half they were always going to improve (like Spurs), but them having a better more energetic second half doesn't amount to ripping us a new one. We repelled everything they threw at us apart from the free kick - a colossal free kick it has to be said (shouldn't have been given though). We finished the game the stronger side.

We won that game with bottle, guts, skill, determination and character. And folks, as if you needed reminding, we have the greatest GK on the planet and a striker who has racked up a monumental number of goals for club and country. And Bernardo - what a man!!!!!!

You’re missing the point.

Work it backwards. Cherki has scored, any reason to rule it out? Yeah, Szoboszlai was about to clear it and was fouled by Haaland. However, the only reason Szoboszlai is in a position to clear it, is because he has fouled Haaland ahead of him, who would have got to the ball and scored.

Szoboszlai being able to clear the ball before he was fouled is the reason they have to go further back and give the red card.

For me, Szoboszlai prevented the opportunity but then Haaland prevented Szboszlai clearing it - but he wouldn't have been in a position to clear it if he hadn't fouled Haaland in the first place. But the ref has played the advantage, the ball ends up in the net with neither player touching it, and the tit-for-tat between Haaland and Szoboszlai cancelled each other out. So just give the goal. It's crazy that a player gets a red for DOGSO when the ball actually ends up in the net!

The other point I would make is Haaland was just trying to hold off Szoboszlai anyway when he fouled him, that sequence was six of one and half a dozen of the other AFTER Szoboszlai's initial foul so I wouldn't have given that as a foul by Haaland, advantage played, ball in net, job done.

I do get why it was disallowed under the rules but it's just plain stupid when the ball ends up in the net and neither player has touched it.

This result can change the season, that how big it feels today.

Once Haaland scores from the spot you could feel and see the change in the players' faces. Those last 10 minutes at 1.0 down you sensed it was not going our way, then the Silva goal changes everything, It's a funny old game and just one incident late on changes everything, That Buzz is still there and the players just needed a result like this

We can play and fight with the best of them, home and away. It's what you need to win silverware going to Anfield and winning speaks volumes

I'll bet this place was in meltdown after They scored first though.

Can’t believe that VAR and decision and how many on X are missing the point saying rules are rules. Szoboszlai sent off for denying goal scoring opportunity for a goal that went in. If he doesn’t foul Haaland he taps it in and doesn’t get in that position to get the ball/be pulled back. What if that happens in a game that’s 1-1. If that’s the rules it needs changing

Oh I agree but it was still a unique and crazy set of circumstances that always seem to happen to us. You think you've seen it all and then up pops this. To be honest I remember something similar that I think Joe Royle did against them in 1977 at Maine Road, when we lost the title by a point to them. Joe's effort rolled the wrong side of the post though. Then again it may have been something I've dreamt up from when I was a kid.
