What made me chuckle was the pundits saying if his shirt wasn’t pulled he would probably have scored. The cheating little bugger can’t hit a barn door presently.
 
Was pretty caught up in the joy and emotion of the win yesterday so wanted to take some time before posting on here, for a more measured opinion.

This is how every Monday should feel. Absolutes buzzing about that. It helps more that the dippers are fuming. Well done city, that was brilliant.
 
Superb stuff, well done Blues. I'm going to say, I did not expect to win that penalty, especially at Anfield.

Good win, we conceded some pretty good chances, especially that Ekitike header, but we battled well and good performances all over the pitch.

Then the goal should stand.

To me the goal either stands, as the advantage played was fulfilled, and the tussle is part of an off the ball action.

OR, the goal is disallowed because Haaland fouls Szobozlai, squandering the advantage played.

What they did makes no sense to me, because they are refereeing 3 consequential events by going back to the first.

We didn’t do our usual shitting ourselves routine. We won. We deserved it. At Anfield. Most fight and desire we’ve shown for a season and a half. 2-1 or 3-1 I couldn’t give a fuck.

Second of all Nico was great yesterday in his NATURAL position. He excelled in The EDS in that role.

He hasn’t been given a pen for his diving routine all season and that’s why he’s scored fuck all.

If the ref did nothing, blew for full time or immediately after they take the ko, no one would say a word.

The focus would be on the skill of Cherki.
He jinked into space in the centre circle then rolled the ball to perfection half the length of the pitch with players chasing after it.

He didn't just lash it and hope for the best like someone else once did!

What a shame for him.

You could make a case to disallow half of Arse's set piece goals this season with all the off ball grapling going on.
