I think he may have been forced back a week or two early because of our CB issues. He is like the Stones of last season in recent games. I have had time to reflect on the game and thought that the result was fair Liverpool were the better team and deserved the points. We need to be positive and try to get a good result on Saturday and take each game as it comes.
I don't agree they were the better team. They looked hungrier but we had contained them well and equalised after conceding a sloppy goal. We were on top, indeed we hit the bar when we conceded that awful second, which in my opinion was a foul no matter how weak Stones was. For a few minutes buoyed by that they got right in our faces and we made two howlers and the game was as good as over. We kept at it and if we had another five minutes I am convinced we would have equalised.
If Silva played in that game we would have done better as Gundogan was constantly losing the ball up front so putting us on the back foot. Also Bernardo should have come on earlier for Sterling as he was totally ineffective, the crowd having got to him. Although Aguero set up the third goal he had a terrible game but he was slightly isolated.
We were going to lose sometime and given our appalling record at Anfield and their current form it was nailed on it would be this game.
We have a week to rest lick our wounds and hopefully go on another run which will seal the title and maybe another trophy. A couple of fresh faces would help in the areas we are suffering due to injury.
