Exactly we weren't played off the park with amazing play from Liverpool, in reality we were a little short of our best in several areas, some are getting it backwards they see the mistakes as a result of their pressing alone rather than the poor choices leading up to them being able to press us in the first first place(Pep wants bravery but not at the expense of sensibility which is what happened at 2-1) . I hope we face these in the champions league with a fully fit squad to prove a point to anyone in doubt that our best smashes their best... VVD wont make a blind bit of difference a performance near where we were in Napoli rips them to pieces, they've yet to show a performance anywhere near us at our best.No you’re right pal you played to win which is more than most. I’m just angered by the overwhelming overreaction to HOW well you played. Anyone would think we were dicked 10-0.
Sorry but this shit happens at Anfield time after time and year after year our crap record there is trumpeted. The problem is mental. We fell apart when that second goal went in despite having been, IMO, the better team overall to that point. The players have to truly believe they will win there and I don't think - deep down - they do. That does mean they are mentally weak. They have shown more mental strength to this point than any City team I have seen but they need to be even stronger to start getting good results regularly at Anfield, in fact on Merseyside, and at Arsenal; and, most importantly to finish the job and bring home some trophies without unnecessary drama.
I doubt this group of City players have any hang-ups about Anfield. All four Liverpool goals resulted from forced/unforced errors. Superb raking free kick by Kevin in the dying seconds - I'm sure he wanted the lads to hang back and run onto the ball from onside positions. I doubt a near post run that would always be offside formed part of his thinking.
Manure will beat Stoke - Butland is breaking all time records in terms of the number of goals conceded per game - 47 so far and not all, but a sizeable chunk, are his fault. Eddie's rare miscue today is what Butland does all the time. Don't waste too much mental energy praying for Stoke to get a good result. They're pathetic.are you saying that you don't think Utd will beat Stoke...I do...so it will potentially be 12....our squad is starting to look strained and our performances one the last few weeks have not been a s convincing. We will drop more points between now and the end of the season.
They "deserve" it because they scored more than we did, but we gave them all their goals. Our pressing was as good as theirs for me, and but for the Stones mistake/foul, when we should actually have been taking an attacking free kick in their half, who knows how it might have ended.
By our standards this season, we were a little below par, they on the other hand, had their game of the season, but still only won, because we made last years errors.
I know the reasons we lost pal you do notTrue.
Wtf you talking about? You said we can’t criticise performances because they had more rest than us, I said that’s patently bollocks unless you’d rather we weren’t in cup semifinals? The players made many many unforced errors, Fern and Gundogan couldn’t pass wind at times today.
As for criticism, when its due its due, as are the plaudits. The only one on here to give his head a wobble is you.
Ha Ha - I know the reasons we lost today and it was a narrow loss in the end btw - pure fatigue lost us that game - when you are tired you make mistakes -I think you might be a bit tired too- take a rest palTrue.

Totally agree. We've lost before a ball is kicked. Happens every season.Sorry but this shit happens at Anfield time after time and year after year our crap record there is trumpeted. Bernardo is already here, so one is done :) let him get up to speed, the other looks like its already on order. We were never going to be able to replace Yaya, but today he wasn't even on our bench.I've said all along that the 2 players who truly make us tick are Fernandinho & David Silva. One is 31 & the other 33.
Fuck knows how the hell we're gonna replace those two
Indeed they did. We can learn from it though. They deserved it. It will not make you a lesser blue to say the best team won on the day. They played with more intensity/desire than us and looked threatening throughout.
There were 4 players culpable for that goal. Terrible defending
Beg to differ slightly. The complete lack of defensive play when it was most needed by us caused that result. That 1st goal is fucking criminal from 2 or 3 of our players.Klopp won that. Perfect tactics to contain Sane, Sterling and Kevin whilst overloading on Fernandinho throughout the game.
Fullbacks should have gone narrow to prevent Fernandinho overload and Kevin, Sane and Sterling should have played deeper as per Cheksea away.
