I don't think we've done too bad in that respect.

We are the best team in the land,and we are the team everyone wants and needs to beat.

We have gone to the home of the media darlings,the pretenders,with a weakened squad......and we have come away with a point,that in itself is a huge statement..

Mahrez's will continue to get my support, until he goes shit game, shit game, shit game etc. Then I'll get on his back.

There were parts of that game where we couldn't string two passes together, where we were hoofing the ball aimlessly, simple passes we normally make with our eyes closed going astray. But overall I'm pleased that we seemed to find a way to neutralise them at last, even if that was at the cost of our normal fluency.

Which is totally normal. Hence why no team ever has 100% possession. We were inept last season v these as we made so many daft mistakes and got tonked. Today we were solid as fuck and made their world famous front 3 look like 3 Samarases.

Finally Pep IS able to find a more pragmatic setup, playing a bit deeper, controllling the match and the atmosphere in the ground.

Bernardo and David, also Raz and Mahrez have been contributing to keeping midfield tight.

I've seen a 4-2-3-1 on several occasions out of possession, with Bernardo and Dinho in DM.

We can defend as a team! Well done.

Jesus - striker's job. However, Bernardo and David would have hit the target. First and last pen for Mahrez. Otherwise, he was 6 out of 10 and improving.

He looses to many balls under pressure for me, younger & quicker players will Rob him time after time.

Great when totally dictating play but against better oposition he now struggles. 10 minutes today he struggled until Liverpool stoped the press.

Been a great player & great to watch but for me now he should be filling in when required..

On another note, I've already had THREE Liverpool supporting acquaintances text me already to complain that Fernandinho should have received a boatload of yellows and also a straight red for an elbow or something.

One of them was also gloating about Henderson's performance too in their text. I'm not sure consistently hoofing the ball forward aimlessly and running around a lot is worth gloating about, but I let him have it.

He had a bad first 20 but then was exceptional in my opinion.

He drove at Liverpool for half the game.

We need a replacement now though, someone to pick up half the burden and then take over.

What a player Fernandinho has been for us though, I’m sure you’ll agree with that.
