Really pissed off at missing a chance to derail the Scouse giddiness and take the wind out of their sails more than anything.

Relieved that they didn’t go up the other end and score after the penalty miss...was fully expecting that when he skyd it

Salah offered nothing. We have nothing to fear

Onwards and upwards blues, probably our hardest game of the season ticked off and we’re still undefeated in the league.

Yes, it was actually Mendy who carried the message from the bench and he was the one doing all the gesturing. I'm honestly not a huge Mahrez fan but I do feel for him here because he didn't even look like he wanted it. Sky musnt have shown that footage by the sounds of it but NBC showed it after the match.
 
There'd not be 30-odd pages about Mahrez missing the penalty if he'd buried the great chance he dragged wide a bit earlier with only the GK to beat.
 
It’s hard not to feel a little bit gutted at the end considering we missed the pen.

Overall I though we lacked a little bit of belief in the final third, which is unusual for us but maybe a consequence of last season. All in all I’ll take that, but fuck me we should of won.

That sir is the biggest improvement and one we can build on. Seems we have finally solved how to nullify them, just need to put the ball in the back of the net next time

Far more positives to take from that than the one negative for me. I thought after the whirlwind blew out, we were very good, and they had no idea how to beat us after 10 minutes.

The defence were superb, as was Fernandhino, the foul he won from salah, who he got in front of, and then let him try to climb over the top was brilliant.

Sometimes a 0-0 can be great, today, there, with our record, was one of them.

Just to add, they, "the champions elect" are now 4 games without a win, whilst the "former" champions are a point better off than last seasons results.

I think if that pen would've gone in we would be coming away calling that a pep masterclass. We were pretty much perfect in regards to nullifying their threat and dictating the tempo. We are in a great position. That is the only ground I don't feel confident going to and getting points so its good we've got it out of the way.
 
Quite happy at 0-0.
( No I am not alty fan and u can' t claim a fiver).
Really happy we did not lose. Happy their front 3 are already burnt out (and this is all they got).
KDB to come back .... how would I not be at least happy - now I type I am positively rubbing my hands.
Oh btw mrs just offered me a steak slice - warmed up too - HELP!!!
 
Stats show a very even game, but only one side had any real goal scoring opportunities.

Stones and Laporte looked imperious. Mendy was a bit rusty, especially his passing, but it’s good to have him back. Always going to be a toug day in midfield, but thought once we got hold of the ball, we used it fairly well, and improved into the game. Sané was the game changer. Time to go back to SAS upfront, methinks.
