He made a good stop from Jota, and as you said he didn't do anything wrong for the Mané goal. I'm still not convinced he was at fault for Salah's goal either. Maybe someone else throws a hand up at a slightly different angle a split second earlier and gets something on it, but I really wouldn't expect them to

He did royally fuck up that cross for the Fabinho chance though

Tierney had a mare and bottled it. I may be in a minority of one here, but I’ve always thought Tierney was reasonable - one of the best of a bad bunch anyway.

Always happens at Anfield and the old toilet. Refs are paid good money to avoid being swayed by fans - very few seem able to do so. English refs have fallen well behind many refs on the continent. Before refs were paid fortunes, we had some of the best anywhere in the world.

Maradona-esque goal it has to be said, but we bossed that game and schooled the scousers like no other team can. We should have scored 5 minimum. Phil head and shoulders the best player on the pitch - always plays superbly against that lot. Rodri’s clearance defied logic and the laws of physics - even more so than Stones’ immense goal-line clearance a few years ago. Hopefully the Blue Moaners can now appreciate Rodri a little more.
