Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

Some people don’t half write shite on this forum
Probably the same people who said Pep out after Southampton
If you know anything about Football ( not playing FiFa manager, newspapers, Fantasy football) You will be able to see who the Best team in the league is.
I personally know all other Fans will think , if we’re above City we have a Chance .

Great Performance Today but…………

Have you ever seen Joe Corrigan in net at Liverpool
Then you can say it’s poor
So the metrics we are using here is not from recent Ederson performances in other games, but of a goalkeeper from 40 years ago?
Ederson was below his usual high standards. Nothing wrong in pointing that out, I'm sure he will be aware of it himself.

I don’t get this. Milner just played a game of football out of position against the best young player in the country and got torn a new arsehole. He wasn’t dirty, or out of order with anything, it’s not his fault he didn’t get called for a foul in the first half or a second yellow in the second half.

I’ve never got the Milner hate from our fans at all. And the “one greedy bastard” chant is about the most inaccurate call we make as a set of fans. It’s almost laughable.

He was a great servant for City who got sick of being on the bench in big games so he left us. Okay, he let his contract to go to the end, but in other sports that happens all the time and is seen as honouring the contract.

Okay, he mentioned that Liverpool had the best team spirit he’s ever been involved in, but he might genuinely have felt that and was just telling the truth. No dramas from me whatsoever.

Okay, he celebrated against us when he didn’t celebrate for us against Villa. Again no dramas for me at all, always want players to celebrate their goals (same shit we gave Dickov when he slid on his knees in joyous celebration when he scored for Leicester against us, it’s mard arse shit from our fans, not shit from Dickov and Milner).

We solely have an issue with him because of the shit Liverpool fans give Sterling. We moan that Liverpool fans give Sterling grief and call them small time and that they’re out of order for their comments, then stoop to their level with Milner.

Really bizarre from our fans this and I’ll never get it. Proper Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa level stuff from us. Shows that we’re just the same as all other sets of fans.
Honouring his contract/running it down would have been fine, but he chose not to be honourable by not informing our club of his plans and stringing us along with false statements of intent, while all along having a multi million signing on fee lined up with these filthy fuckers - hence the 'greedy bastard' tag and why many of our support think he's a snidey ****.

Sterling is abused solely because he had the audacity to want a transfer to a more successful club,he didnt hide fuck all.

Fair comment
This obesession with the idea that we need a number 9 is starting to grate on my nerves. We have enough key players all over the pitch who can score. We create more than enough chances and as the season goes on and the players gain more rhythm and confidence they will convert at a higher rate. Liverpool played most of the game without a number 9, and I do not consider Firmino to be a clinical number 9 type striker.

Its almost like pundits and rival fans can't find anything else to drag us down about so they say, "well they dont have a number 9". Literally looking for anything. All the while we scored 6 against Leipzig, and lead the league in scoring once again.

Fair enough. Its up to Pep. Whether he can bring in someone in the new year remains to be seen. I think he does want someone. But who? In the meantime we just get on with it and score goals as we do without a striker.

Dont agree at all,we need a striker. These last 3 games have prove its very much our achilles.
The Dippers had 3 players on that pitch today who make ours look like amateurs where putting the ball in the net is concerned.Imagine our team with Salah.....that's all that needs saying.

Read his socials and he apparently had a stomach bug. Must have affected his reflexes.

There were times today when I wondered why one of our MFs wasn’t breaking into the box more aggressively with balls coming in from wide — or not so wide — in the first half.

But I agree that (a) it’s a stick to beat us with (a rationalization for a hope that we’ll fail really) and (b) with a striker, who do we sit, and what limitations would that put on distribution, control of the center of the park, ability/need to defend, etc.? (this is a rhetorical).
