We simply can't play anyone that's going to give away the ball. Whatever folk thing of Zinchenko, he's remarkably comfortable with the ball and recycles it better than most.

That's the team I'd start, with maybe Otto in instead of Laporte

For me Walker, Stones, Laporte, Fernandinho, Silva x2, Sane and Aguero are certain starters. Who knows about the rest.

I would hope Ederson is a certainty :-)

When did I advocate dropping down to there level, I'm just pointing out to you how vile there club is, and if one or two of there players went down tonite, I wouldn't be unhappy about this unlike yourself, it really makes me laugh how some blues want to beat full strength rivals whilst we have injuries galore, il leave you with your moral high ground but it gets absolutely nowhere regarding City with the press and pundits.

I absolutely hate them (and the rags) and what they did to our coach was vile but this is nothing to do with moral high ground it is:
a) not wishing any player injured, it it happens it happens but I would never wish any player injured
b) sending a message that we beat them whilst they were at full strength whilst we weren't

Not saying we will beat them, but if we do, I want them to be full strength for the reason stated as that will hurt them even more

More defensive players in DM won’t help imo. It’s not possible to keep them penned in defending all the time. They’ll break at speed. So we need all our speed merchants on the pitch. Mendy too if fit. It’ll be like a basketball game.

I'm dreading this game as usual, but I'm a wuss.

Not confident how can I be with our record at Anfield but I really hope we approach the game with a solid set up and don't commit too many forward first 20 mins. Get through that period and we have a chance.

It's concerning that last night against a weaker side it took only 1 minute to get through us.

It is what it is on right day we could smash them 5-1 let's see.
