Liverpool are on a great run but their results mask some average performances. They've managed to do just enough to see out games (a few soft penalties have helped too!) They will lose at some point and this City team with everything we have achieved under Pep has no reason to be intimidated.

We came close to getting a win at Anfield last season which will have done our players a lot of good after some bad recent results there.

In terms of our game plan, our wide players and fullbacks are going to have to work their arses off to cut off the supply from Alexander-Arnold and Robertson. I'm going to predict Jesus to be selected in a wide position due to his workrate and Bernado to drop in to midfield alongside De Bruyne to allow us to compete with their energetic midfield.

Ederson

Walker
Stones
Fernandinho
Mendy

Gundogan
KDB
Bernardo

Sterling
Aguero
Jesus

1- 2 to City.

To beat them on their turf with half of our team out with injury would send an enormous message to the scouse vermin

Gundy has to play his best or we are fooked. if he doesn’t turn up we will be playing with 10 men against a team full of energy.

I’d prefer foden in this but pep will never drop gundy for him.

I can also see Jesus playing instead of aguero in a deeper role packing out the middle of the park. Aguero a better option to bring on if needed.

with our current injuries if pep tries to go toe to toe we will loose heavily. A clever plan is required and I will take a point now with our defensive issues.

this will be a game about energy & var.

pretty much the starting line up and maybe otamendi with stones and fernandinho back in his role with jesus could be on the bench

as for the result it could be anything ?? and for the match officials they will control the game and i can see a couple of red cards happening
but them scouse fans are truly scum and need shutting up big time and what better way to beat them in their own back yard

They should just install protected cameras on the bus and get the fuckers on film. The height of the bus means that any camera on the top would get a pretty clear view of anyone in the crowd, and unless you advertise it, I doubt the idiots cover their faces.

What good would that do though? The Merseyside Police would just say they didn't have enough evidence, as they did last time. Last time they had loads of video evidence and it made no difference. Great idea but not the way they work!!

It’s about 11 players not fucking 1, it’s bad enough people singling out scapegoats, but before the fucking match ffs

We are playing 11 diving members of the opposition, 3 corrupt PGMOL officials, a cheating var system and a hostile crowd that can brick our team coach with impunity, and with half our team out with injury. Let’s hammer the fucking lot of them

Liverpool fan here.

The best thing that can happen to us is Pep starting to overthink that game like he does in every CL QF and to overcomplicate matters by putting out some strange formation like some of you posted on here. Just because Sheffield can play 352 against us and get away with a narrow defeat doesn't mean you can and not get thrashed. If you just play your normal lineup (minus two regular starters in Rodri and L'amerique) and that with confidence and at the top of your pressing and possession ability (I am thinking Chelsea last season both games), it will be hard to live with you.

That means normal front six with Fern in his MF position (pretty sure both Silvas will be fit and unbanned), Ota, Stones, Walker, Cancelo/ Mendy. Would love to see Fern vs. Fab in a passing the torch kind of game :)

I think it's pretty obvious what lineup you can expect from us. I am sure Pep will show he's worth 20+ million pounds by coming up with the sublime masterplan of targeting Dejan Lovren lol.

Going to be either the most entertaining game for us since, well, Arsenal last week, or another cagey affair like the CL final.

Here's to a 'lucky' 4-0!

Cheers
