They're trying to lull into some kind of false security!
It's so Liverpool can play the plucky underdog card ;-)

So? every season is different,we face different players, him and raz our scorers,in what universe do you leave them out lol, every hoodoo gets broken eventually, they would be cheering the roof off to see our team sheet with no sergio and raz on it
Liverpool fan here.
The best thing that can happen to us is Pep starting to overthink that game like he does in every CL QF and to overcomplicate matters by putting out some strange formation like some of you posted on here. Just because Sheffield can play 352 against us and get away with a narrow defeat doesn't mean you can and not get thrashed. If you just play your normal lineup (minus two regular starters in Rodri and L'amerique) and that with confidence and at the top of your pressing and possession ability (I am thinking Chelsea last season both games), it will be hard to live with you.
That means normal front six with Fern in his MF position (pretty sure both Silvas will be fit and unbanned), Ota, Stones, Walker, Cancelo/ Mendy. Would love to see Fern vs. Fab in a passing the torch kind of game :)
I think it's pretty obvious what lineup you can expect from us. I am sure Pep will show he's worth 20+ million pounds by coming up with the sublime masterplan of targeting Dejan Lovren lol.
Going to be either the most entertaining game for us since, well, Arsenal last week, or another cagey affair like the CL final.
Here's to a 'lucky' 4-0!
Cheers
Who is gabby making space for and holding up play for blah blah when there is no-one there to score the goals? bernie is off colour/banned whichever so we can't rely on him,i dare say kev will be double marked but lets leave our 2 best players on the bench, they would love that,i hope pep doesn't pull a smart one as he is prone to in big away games,we need to play in our usual play, the occassion is big enough without asking them to do the unfamiliarMaybe so, but Kun yet to score at Clanfield. I would let Jesus start to take the sting out of them and bring Kun on later when they are tired of pressing.
Sterling does need to get a monkey off his back at their patch too, but there is little point anyone getting bent out of shape at this range as to who will/should start.
It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that they both start on the bench.

With the squad we have available and our record at Klanfield I don't think we will get anything, sorry for being negative.
What sort of question is that? they are the ones scoring the goals, they are the ones who will scare them the most,am i in a parrall universe lol,it's the whole team that never win there not just those 2Jesus is more than capable of finding the back of the net.
Gen Q - Why do you always get so wound up when someone dare suggest it might be best to leave Sterling and Aguero on the bench, particularly when neither have a good record at Anfield?
City should make a statement Monday morning making it clear that if one missile hits the bus, the game is off..... Just tell it straight.....
See Liverpool and especially the PL and Sky shit themselves. The biggest game of the season, shown all around the world will not happen if one missile hits the coach.
City should demand answers / reassurances from LFC and the Merseyside police as to what they are collectively going to do to prevent the game being cancelled.
City should notify the PL that the game will be cancelled if the coach is attacked and have the PL seek reassurance from LFC and the M/side Bizzies that safety of the coach and players will be paramount.
City should put the PL on the spot and demand they back the "missile thrown / no game" plan and request support from the PFA that their members are not subjected to being attacked whilst on their way to work.

Well you are in the pre match thread, you never ask "gen Q's" you always know the answerIt was a genuine one as to why you get over emotional if someone suggests Jesus over Kun for a particular game
As you know, Kun never scored there and Raz has yet to play to his ability there, so why do you think this Sunday will be different?
As I said, no point at anyone getting bent out of shape at this range as there is another game preceding this one

he hasnt looked the same player to me since all this shit came up,i reckon its affected him more than we realiseBanning Bernardo effectively labels him a racist, I doubt he or the club will accept that.
What makes you think leaving them out will mean we win there?Crikey, are you a part time politician :)
What makes you so sure Kun and Raz will overcome their issues playing at Anfield this year, I believe that you said they would?
I’d say because the thought of leaving your two best players on the bench is batshit crazy - especially when they are the amongst the top scorers in the league this season.Jesus is more than capable of finding the back of the net.

I dont. I simply put a case fwd for not necessarily starting them to which you clearly didn't like. What makes you think leaving them out will mean we win there?
