the only possible change from that is playing Otto and oush ferna into midfield - though i can completely understand why you wouldnt have Otto anywhere near this game

Gundogan is the weak point however in that midfield....he needs to work his arse of today or for me its final straw with him.....win or lose. He usually goes missing in these games...but I guess Pep has gone for experiene over youth (foden being the other possibility with David Silva injured)

Gundog is against Henderson and firmino and winjaldum.
He will have a field day against them cloggers .

I don't think Rodri and Silva make a telling difference against such a system as Liverpool play?

Love 'em both but, a bit like Gundo, think they don't have the pace or intensity to get back or in if they are caught the wrong side of the ball?

Perhaps they could go three at the back with Stones, Fern and Rodri, with Mendy and Cancelo in the wing back roles?

Gundogen and Rodders in midfield doesn’t fill me with great hope. Neither can run and we will have to match their running for the first 20mins at least

I quite rate him a deeper role with the game in front of him (especially against weaker teams) but further forward he just seems to hide or go missing.

Just been for a quick look at RAWK, although I never really get why I do that. It only ever boils your blood. One thing that never ceases to amaze me, is how much they keep banging on about "class". Jesus wept. They're a bunch of nasty thieving scraggy-arse mutants living in one of UK's biggest and dirtiest crime-ridden shit-holes and they have an average IQ of a house fly, yet apparently they all ooze class. disagree...non of those are skilled footballers like a silva or KDB but what they are are extreely hard working and wil press him like razy...all they have to do is win it in midfield off him and they will be on the counter attack - once that happens its a simple pass as we have seen all too often when teams play like this against us.
They will press him and rodri like crazy....that doesnt need skill just energy and they have plenty of it.

Edit - and firmino is hardly a clogger - he is a very decent player who we were after at one point.
