Liverpool (A) | Ref Appointment

I think he reffed it well. Missed a couple of yellows, in my opinion. However, did watch the game without crowd noise and Mane total embarressment. When he was tackled on the edge of the box you could have heard the scream in Scotland. Jumped straight up when realised ref wasn't giving anything. I also think people have a point about giving a yellow for simulation, even if you are fouled. Salah would probably miss about 5 games a season if this was in force.

The probelm with this is that res have to start giving penalties for fouls without the theatrical fall. It seems to me that any foul in the box is only given if it is made blatantly obvious by the fouled player. Look at the players who try to stay on their feet (I can think of plenty of examples with Sergio and more recently with Phil) and don't get the penalty. Would a penalty have been given in the 3-2 against QPR if Kun hadn't scored? How many times do you hear the commentator say "if he'd gone down, that's a penalty". Gets me so cross: why does a player have to go down to get the pen?
Phil was shoved in the back yesterday in the box, went down like a limp Mane and it still wasn’t given or commented on. Just obvious and blatant bias from referees and media.

He allowed himself to be influenced by the LiVARpool players a few times. He had Henderson screaming 'foul' every time one of theirs went to ground, and more than once gave a foul for a perfectly time tackle.
That happens with all teams , we are just able to hear it more now tbf
