Using ignorance as a defence.

It's about time that fines (and I know we'd lose out) were a % of turnover be it 0.25/0.5% etc. There's no punishment in that fine.
what would be fairer in incidents like this would be if the lower league side got the bloody fine money as compo !!

Didn't want to say I told you so but I told you this would happen.
This was a non starter from the start and it was only put in the headlines to even up the bad stories about us , sky indirectly saying look it isn't just city we do stories on.
Like tonight, bernardo story broke closely followed by their story with the cup, of all the times for their story to break, uncanny.

I think the EFL have played a blinder. Rather than kick them out they've given Sky a match where their reserves will get a bumming.

Different cup admittedly. But in about 2006 Bury were kicked out of the FA cup for fielding an illegible player against Chester.

Evidence of what? That they don't want out of the league cup? Just listen to Pep talk before the game (he did the pre match, not klopp) and he gives an interesting insight to why Liverpool have no established senior backups for each position (the way almost all other top clubs does). If Liverpool are to progress and have the same depth that city has, they are depending on players like Ki Jana, Jones, Elliot and Brewster to develop into quality first team players.
That won't happen without games "at the right moment". So having the possibility to play 2-3 up and comers, in the early stages of the league cup and FA Cup, is pretty important for Liverpool as a club.
So you are using an interview with a Pep as evidence that you want to be in the League Cup to blood youth.....

Get the distinct impression that the dippers could mow down their opponents with a heavy-calibre machine gun and there'd be diddly squat done about it. Their defence would be they didn't realise the gun was loaded.

Doesnt matter a jot , if the Dippers play their kids against the Goons , they will get hammered the Goons kids are streets ahead of anything Klanfield have coming through the ranks.
