Too many changes at once.

Players who have had to put a monumental effort in over 3 very high level games and are absolutely fucked physically and mentally. The usual energy just wasn’t there.

Midfield 2 that lacks energy and have never played together before.

Steffen is no Ederson. The drop off in our whole game is huge when Steffen plays

Lets be honest we probably wouldn’t get away with such a mixture against a bottom 6 team never mind these cunts.

For me, we’ve got the results we needed in the other 3 games and if we were going to lose one of the 4 it’d be this one.

We’re top of the league with the outcome in our hands and we’re in the CL semis. I’d have taken that over winning today, any day

They've now beaten us in 90 mins over three games.

If we both get to the CL final that's an undeniable psychological edge.

Win the league and pray Chelsea or Palace do them in the final and shut the cunts up.

Just playing devil’s advocate, the only time they’ve looked “better” than us was today, for one half, after we put out a team that would never play in a CL final or in a tight PL run-in, and a keeper made a mistake that’ll unfortunately be drawn from the annals of FA Cup history regularly for the comedy reels.

So there’s an argument that this could give us a psychological advantage as they’ll have a false sense of superiority if we do come up against them in the final, which has caused some problems for them in the past.

We really are a better team than Liverpool aren't we? Six players short of our best team vs their actual best and we only lost due to a couple of monumental fuckups... If we meet again in the CL it won't be a repeat of last year's disappointment

Getting to FA Cup Semi Finals in the 2020's seem to be like getting to Quarter finals from the 90s to about 2010 doesn't it!!
We just don't seem to bloody win them.

Gutted with the result, more so that we beat ourselves rather then Liverpool beating us. I didn't agree with the Steffen over Ederson selection when I saw the line up, took 17 minutes to have my worry validated. Feel for Steffen he seems a good lad and mostly does a good job when we need him.

I can live with the key players being rested with Brighton around the corner, who are in good nick now to btw. And 7 massive league games and the Real Madrid tie to come. Can't live with what they dished up in the first half, second half we showed a bit more but can't help but wonder if Grealish hits the early chance first time instead of taking a touch what happens from there.

Not to be but we have bigger fish to fry.

Glad Kev never came on, didn't want to see him as he's needed in the bigger games but a few of our back ups marked their cards for the future.

What's more likely is Pep will do something out there tactically and fuck us in the final.

As per Chelsea last season we haven't beaten Liverpool this season so he's bound to think outside the box.

You can, rightly, only measure it on history but irrespective of that, they’ve nicked 4 pts in the league and failed to dismantle our second team, roles revered and we’d of put 6 past them…

First goal was awful, Grealish got bullied. Keeper mistake 2nd. Great finish but woeful marking for the 3rd. Keeper not great again either.
Above average second half after getting hopped off in the first.

One thing is for sure,Klopp will never play a weakened side when there is a requirement to do otherwise and/or something is genuinely at stake.

Klopp is the opposite of Pep, he plays weakened sides in the first rounds and if they go through he plays his strongest side in the latter stages, Pep plays very strong sides early on and puts a lineup like the one we saw today (or last year against Chelsea) in the semis.

Just a weird selection/formation that didn't work 1st half. Bit better 2nd half as we moved players round a bit to their more usual positions.

Steffen, Zinchenko, Sterling, Foden and Fernandinho all pretty poor.

Grealish got a goal and should have had an assist for the Jesus chance and a couple of nice touches. No idea why Guardiola had him as false 9 in the first half though. Cancelo was ok but a bit more subdued than usual. Bernardo, as usual, worked hard and was more effective 2nd half when he dropped a bit deeper. Pleased he got a goal. Jesus also worked hard and showed odd moments of quality but again let down by his finishing.

Stones and Ake the pick of the bunch. Both played well.
