On the other hand, re today, how often has Steffen made an error as bad as that 2nd goal? We put just one of our other chances away; it goes to extra time, we get a memorable victory on pens, and everyone who did go today is over the moon!

He cost us the semi last season with crap positional play . I get playing the second keeper but he has t on be good which I don’t think steffen is .

Fuming before, during and after the final whistle over the line up. Over it now.
Onto the PL and CL. These are must wins Pep.
I was more pissed off after the Wigan game.
Big shout outs to Ake and Stones, solid performances regardless of the result.
 
Full squad we don’t lose to these twats no way, hope we get them in the final in Paris and smash them
 
There’s always a risk that these semi final performances will happen until we get the champs league off our backs. Perhaps it’ll always be there because we’ll always prioritise it and end up with a draining midweek game as we’ve just had.
But, the team came back from 3 down, could’ve easily taken it to extra time. I don’t agree it’s because Liverpool relaxed after half time. Bollocks, they were still going for it. I’m proud of them. Ake was outstanding.
10 games to win. We can do that.

Tbh it was more my first para that prompted that post, but yeah, wouldn’t really disagree there.
I assume you’d try and off load him this summer and bring in a new no2 keeper?

I agree completely about the players, it wasn't their fault

However, we need more depth if we want to compete properly. This is the second year in a row we've had to play a second string team in an fa cup semi final. It's really not good enough for what we want to be

Either buy another couple of players or spend time integrating Palmer / McAtee / Lavia so they can take some of the load off our main eleven
 
I agree with other comments on here...Pep throws the game again like last time....

Time will tell if the pain of today will be worth it. Win the big two and it will be well worth it.

We totally shot ourselves in the foot first half, lethargic, sloppy and a horrendous error for one of the goals while Zac’s attempts (if you could call the header an attempt) at the other two were pitiful.

At least we regained some pride second half as that could have turned out much worse.

By saving the legs of the subs it’s pretty clear what the strategy is - get the 5 or 6 in the bench back starting next game and Foden, Bernie and one or two others will get a chance to rest.

Now all about getting zoned into the league again, two good fixtures at home where 6 points and strong performances will get us back on track.

By missing out on the final it should make the slotting in of Wolves straightforward and give the dippers a headache with their schedule…..fuck em.
