Liverpool fans throwing missiles from South Stand Level 3

Yep, starting with the 17/18 season this is Liverpool's finishing positions.
4th, 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 2nd
Add in this season where they will seemingly struggle to make 4th it's some dominance!
Just looking at that table of the past decade, you can see how consistent we’ve been
1,2,1,2,4,3,1,1,2,1,1

It’s like the 90’s/00’s but without the media love-in that accompanied traffords winning consistent efforts…odd that…

Throwing objects is not a new thing. I’ve just posted newspaper cuttings and details from the 1981 Boxing Day City win at Anfield when Corrigan was hit by a bottle at Anfield. You can hear John Bond talking about the LFC reaction behind the scenes too to City’s win:

Remember it well. As ever, such a sporting crowd.

There was a media myth at the time that the Anfield crowd was very sporting, clapping away keepers etc........but carnage outside.
To be fair I think fans in the ground pointed out the bottle thrower in Joes case.

That is not true. City under Pep beat liverpool to the title only 2 out of our 4 wins. The other two Utd were the runners up. The media feed the narrative that Liverpool would have had a free run and that we are the only two clubs in contention the last 5 years, but really, there has been only one truly dominant club, and that has been us.

You are right about everything uou say about their animosity though, but they also have bought their own spin. We didn't deny them as much as they think we did, because they are simply not as good as they say and think they are.
City have denied them three Premier League titles (13-14, 18-19 & 21-22) but the animosity started decades ago, has always been there, but was escalated in the 13-14 title run in and Liverpool sought to gain every advantage...

Brendan Rodgers..."We'll unleash our fans..."

It encouraged even more outright appalling behaviour of their feral fans. Attacks on City fans including disabled buses, lone women, families etc

Klopp and LFC have escalated it further.

What we have now is a product of that.

Not that any escalation is needed with the underlying Manc-Scouse rivalry that exists for all 4 clubs.
