Liverpool (H) - Carabao Cup 4th Round - Post-Match Thread

Cracking game. Only downside is we missed quite a few good chances & should have put it to bed in the first 10 mins. They missed a few good chances too thanks to the Andy Carroll look a like.

Happy with that overall.
Now that's seriously insulting to Andy Carroll . Seriously.
You should apologise.
Feed the scousers let them know it’s Xmas time
Feed the Scousers and they'll steal the watch off your wrist as you offer them food.

They're . . . just like that , it's in their DNA

How many times are we going to let these twats catch us 1v1 2v2 3v3 etc on the break
We are our own worst enemy when we play this lot, they never out play us we boss the majority of the games we play against them
Gifted them 2 goals again tonight
But we are through and it's a marker down for the rest of the season
Glad you enjoyed the game

There was a moment in the game when, I think it was Rico who was talking behind his hand as we were all singing Shit Andy Carroll, think he must have been telling the donkey who Andy Carroll was.

That boy was absolutely fabulous tonight. He was brave, quick, composed, aggressive, intelligent.

When you hear adulation for footballers for their age, it was amazing he wasn’t getting credit.

I also think they targeted him & tried to rough him up.
I went to the Girona game last week and said on here that I didn't think any of the Academy lads I saw were ready for the step up. I must already regard Rico and Cole as first teamers?
Both are outstanding talents making their way from youth team to probably the best first team in world football

Rico Lewis was great. fits into that midfield role better than walker as he is better with the ball at his feet. Real contender for a regular first team player.
Rodri starting where he left off and ran the midfield. KDB a 9/10 performance...couple of off moment but generally brilliant and probably MOTM
Ortega -decent with his feet nothing he could do with the goals.
Foden decent when he came on

Mahrez..outside of his goal he was poor.
Haaland...great finish - if there is one area he needs to improve its his pressing and defending from the front. Maybe more involvment in build up but maybe Pep doesnt want that from him?

Grealish - needs to do more when one on one....he simply has to be better and start sooner rather than later. God ball retention as always but needs to add more than that.
Palmer - great individual skill and one brilliant moment where he took the piss in his own defensive corner area to leave I think Oxlay-chamberlin on his arse to then slide a beautiful ball into midfield. However needs to get upto speed when making decisions in the attacking third and needs to use his right foot!

Gundo - was gundo....kept it ticking over and again a candidate for MOTM....got away with being booked as it was him the shoved over fabihno (who was lucky not to be red carded)

**** of the match as always goes to Andy Robertson.....sly fucking midget bully who would get slapped silly in any bar in the north west if he behaved like he does on a football pitch....I dont generally mid the scouse players baring the diving of Salah and the antics of Klopp but Robertson stands out as a genuinely nasty little individual.
Defensively our high line really misses Walker

Just seen Klipperty moaning about VAR and how our first goal may have been offside. Conveniently forgetting that two of their misses came from two blatantly offsides not given. Both from their unique hoof ball tactics. We do need Walker back as soon as possible but also a centre held with real speed.
