Well isn't this some top tier bullshit. Sure this game was important from an emotional perspective but how the fuck does it come even remotely close to the "most important" game of the season when the result of this game has literally no impact on the rest of the season in tangible terms? Chelsea, Napoli and United away were some of the most important games of the season. Not this shit. We're shitting our pants before Napoli away because they're in incredible form at that point blowing away everyone in Serie A. And that game was followed by Arsenal at home. If we hadn't won that, the fear was that we break the momentum going into the international break. Add to that the fact that we had a depleted squad at that time. Winning Napoli away allowed us to send our reserves to Shakhtar which then allowed us to field full strength squad against United away which then allowed us to play at the top level against Spurs at home. Those sequence of games literally was the start of the belief that we're gonna win it this year and beating rags at that point caused them to completely collapse in December, something which they never recovered from. Tired of this fuckin revisionist bullshit.
