Liverpool (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

I've just rewatched the highlights.

Can someone please explain why the foul on Cherki inside the Liverpool penalty area wasn't a penalty, but the Nunes challenge where Nunes actually got a toe on the ball with minimal contact on their player was a penalty (and yes I know contact on the ball doesn't mean much these days)???

Olivar nearly swallowed his whistle when he blew for their pen.

The one we didn't get was more of a penalty than the one we did.
Its almost as though he realised he couldn't turn down another obvious penalty so had to give it.

The same John Aldridge who played 83 times for Liverpool as opposed to 243 for Tranmere Rovers, 170 for Newport and 114 for Oxford United.
Was about to post something similar, was brought in to replace a genuine legend in Ian Rush and shown the door when they brought Rush back from Juventus.
If he thinks he's a Dipper legend he's as deluded as the rest of the vile cult members who follow that shitstain of a club.

Where are the Blue Moaners? They think they know selection and tactics better than Pep as they share their non-wisdom on here.
To be fair, earlier in the season we played Bernardo wide and Savinho played a lot aswell. That was an error from Pep.

Since we bought Semenyo, both of those things have stopped happening and we have shown signs of playing better. Still a work in progress but were looking better imo.

That front 4 that started yesterday of Semenyo/Cherki/Doku/Haaland needs to start most of the remaining games.

Given the age of most of the team, I think this one will evolve into the best yet, there are still a few tweeks that will happen, but squad wise I think it's potential is huge, and I said this about October.
What is so special about October

You can tell a not right ex sports person when then promote CBD oil. It seems to be the lowest common denominator.

I was at the game and I have watched the 8min highlights 2-3 times.

The game was odd in that up until Haaland's pen., it was tight and if anything Liverpool were the better side. After Haaland's pen., Liverpool fell apart. It's worth mentioning how poor Van Dijk and Salah were. The football for our goals was excellent but we were playing against a team whose resistance evaporated when the game went against them. Slot is getting the blame but as a squad it must be very difficult to play when your you have 2 very senior players playing so badly. Slot should have at the start of the season dropped Salah and Van Dijk. He's paying the price for not doing so.

City were in a similar position last season but we managed the transition better.

Slott has been held hostage ever since Salah threw his toys out of the pram, having been dropped due to poor form . At the time the general feeling from everyone was to back the manager but the higher ups realised Salah brings in the money globally and it would damage the brand so he has been nailed on for a place in the first team since . At that point the players generally downed tools and set Slott up as the fall guy . Slott is that combination of stubborn silent Dutchman with a big ego and ever since he's been digging his own grave, not playing Robertson , persisting with Gapko and not dropping VVD . Their captain is his mirror image on the pitch , blames everyone else and is simply past it . It's all delicious .
