I thought Alvarez was out weak link today. You can’t see how much work he’s doing off the ball from an armchair though. Why we thought long corners would work I don’t know. Surely a combination of doku/Bernie/Foden on short corners would be way more effective.The frustrating thing today was how he refused to go on the outside of his man until the last ten minutes, as everytime he did he looked dangerous.
Still offered much more than Foden, who I thought was very disappointing today given that he was up against a really shit full back.
