Was as soft as you like, but the ref disallowed it meaning VAR was not going to overturn it. Likewise if the ref didn't disallow it, VAR wouldn't overturn it. There is no point putting the game down to one incident anyway. We lost control in the second half and had nobody to bring on as fresh legs after the high press in the first half.

VAR is there to overturn clear and obvious mistakes which that very obviously was.

But yes we should have made more of our play in the final third.
