We were well off the pace today and being completely realistic about it the most damning thing is a combined eleven from today's teams would not feature one of our players
We're entering encharted territory where teams don't even fear us again, the Etihad fortress, the air of invincibility, the spirit of the team is slowly being stripped away, this is why the rhetoric of 'next season we'll be better', 'we'll have a summer overhaul' is dangerous, we are doing serious damage to our 'Aura' 'Atmosphere' 'brand' whatever you want to call it.
Call me arrogant or plastic, but this season is not acceptable, dropping a few levels is understandable especially when you take into account injuries, mental fatigue etc, but falling off a cliff? Something is amiss.
Said it before, I'll say it again, team is not playing for him anymore.
You are in denial. You are wrong
Is being 4th falling off a cliff? We're entering encharted territory where teams don't even fear us again, the Etihad fortress, the air of invincibility, the spirit of the team is slowly being stripped away, this is why the rhetoric of 'next season we'll be better', 'we'll have a summer overhaul' is dangerous, we are doing serious damage to our 'Aura' 'Atmosphere' 'brand' whatever you want to call it.

Is Duku really that good to play in a topp team? He is good but im like thinking every time he has the ball it always ends the same hit a oppents leg and corner (and we really sucks at corners) or a cross that misses everybody he will be world class if his end ball got better, same with savio really but I think he is a little better to make something with he runs it feels more dangerous when he succeed to get past his defender. Duku butt fu..ed Trent today but still it did not led to anything. We don't really know if it's the end of an era or not. If we were to add Stones, Rodri and Haaland, I think that game might look completely different.
We have added quality players to our squad in Doku, Savinho and Khusanov and I think Marmoush will prove to be a good signing too.
The scans show no damage - ligament, meniscus and bone, but apparently he has discomfort even walking upstairs at home. When I was four years old I fell onto sharp gravel and cut my knee - no hospital visit - just a plaster. A hard lump formed and it didn't cause pain or mobility issues. Fast forward thirty-two years, I twisted my knee in a five-a-side comp - badly torn meniscus. The amazing young surgeon at Nth Mcr Gen Hospital operated four days later (1996). Told me the hard lump was historic calcification where a piece of bone had chipped and reattached. Has the club actually specified why Erling's still having a knee prob?Hopefully not that serious for Erl.
Kushanov and the two wingers were bright points, Speedy ok.
Despite defeat I am quite happy that the first blocks of the rebuild are in place alongside the other younger players we have.
Lets hope Haalands not out long.
Foden and Rico very poor.
Liverpool not as good as I thought, the team that finished on 97 points was better than this one.
Doku makes me smile with his snake hips, I was even laughing at him today until his final ball.Salah and VVD were imperious today absolutely class above everything else… Dippers would be mad to let them go because everything in the boxes revolves around them and today they were the difference… if both had been in blue rather than red then we win that game
As for us - I thought Kushanov was excellent, I was surprised Dias didn’t get more change out of Rico (I think Rico did well)… Doku was a conundrum his approach play was first rate but is end product is non-existent, whilst Liverpool defensively were superb he clearly went past Trent over 10 times and I don’t remember him finding a blue shirt once which is extremely disappointing
We need to find a way gk get the ball to our wingers quicker so they have ghd option to cut inside and shoot. Because we were too sl9w in our play and no magic at all from Kev and Phil - both Doku and Savinho were unable, despite trying, to cause real damageDoku makes me smile with his snake hips, I was even laughing at him today until his final ball.
Like most of this team, they are young and raw, but showed that they can do something our elders can’t.
A glimpse into our future, and it’s still Blue.
212Was that at the back of 217?
The Stewards also removed 2 lads in their 20's a bit later too.
Fucking cunts, I hate them
Still people on here say them over Arse, fucking unbelievable.
All the stunts they have pulled over the last few years just because we were better than them.
I can only assume the Blues who want them to win it over Arse are non match going fans and are also immune to their fucking antics.
Not easy to produce an end product in a game without Haaland. He was actually no threat at all, zero end product, and not improving either, he excites briefly, then fails miserably virtually every time, drives me mad, certainly has no "end product".
He played well until the minute he needed to deliver something useful.
Pep will work on the end product with him. The constant going past defenders is purely natural - you can't coach it. The final ball can be coached.Salah and VVD were imperious today absolutely class above everything else… Dippers would be mad to let them go because everything in the boxes revolves around them and today they were the difference… if both had been in blue rather than red then we win that game

some people knock haaland's contibution, but forget his goal scoring ability one of the things we miss is the amount of space he opens up in the oposition defenceIs Duku really that good to play in a topp team? He is good but im like thinking every time he has the ball it always ends the same hit a oppents leg and corner (and we really sucks at corners) or a cross that misses everybody he will be world class if his end ball got better, same with savio really but I think he is a little better to make something with he runs it feels more dangerous when he succeed to get past his defender. Hopefully if we got younger faster midfielders who could find position, find spaces, run into the box Takes shoots outside the area, like KDB used to do maybe the end product will be better for them two
Every time he got past Alexander-Arnold, he had no idea what to do with it. We could have had 6 in the box and he wouldn’t have got his ball past the first defender.Don't think I can ever recall a team that has a winger skinning a fullback so often yet they have just two players inside the box against 6 defenders.
He’s an amazing talent as he draws players to him…but the constant hitting the ball across the six yard box or hitting the first man is injury - not sure why we don’t set players up around the box for 18 yard shots - the box is packed, keeper unsighted and chance for deflection like salahs goalDoku makes me smile with his snake hips, I was even laughing at him today until his final ball.
