Age waits for nobody. We saw how fast Gundo and KDB lost their collective legs. It happens to every player.Salah is a myth this season.
Liverpool should have cashed in with a big money move to the Saudi league.
Yes it did. The clip is post no. 817 on page 41 of this thread.not read through this thread, my memory is a bit shit, but when nico O was hemmed in at the corner flag by salah and we played it out brilliantly did that lead to a goal ) if so has anyone got the full clip please
I relaxed on 92 minutes :-)great victory, really well played The Blues.
I remained nervous up to when Gakpo skied quite an easy chance with 20 (?) to go, then i could relax a little.
Thought defending set pieces was okay till recently but the last 3 PL games we have conceded v Villa, Bournemouth and Dippers from corners though Dippers was ruled out and Bournemouth should have been a foul but they won the headers nevertheless. Its our attacking set pieces that need a lot of work. Are you joking?
Our defending against corners this season is dire.
The point was made about the Dippers recruitment this Summer and someone mentioned that Fergie only replace two players a season. Mind, he nicked other clubs' best players 'n paid record fees for them. My ERO was bemoaning the fact the EFC had spent £70m for a couple of strikers, none of whom could hit a barn door, How much did yer pay for Haaland, he asked!True! But assembling one good side is something a few managers have accomplished. Being able to rebuild and repeat those feats is something only Fergie has achieved
No, no, no, one thousand times NO!!!!Dyke and salad. Time to pack your bags and join the Saudi league.
Apparently collectively team ran 118 km v liverpool. How to we replace Bernardo , he was everywhere
Funny how they had no complaints with him ruling out our goal for a phantom foul on their keeper the last time he officiated. They moan also re Oliver but again fail to mention Villas goal from a corner v us that was a foul to us for a clear 2 handed push resulting in the corner.I’m loving the dipper press and the dipper fans raging that Kavanagh is from Manchester.
The guy has so many rumours he’s a Liverpool fan swirling around him and a blind man could have given that penalty on pitch.
More fool the FA for putting him in charge.
Also officially he’s a Droylesden fan… just like how Taylor is an Altrincham fan.
I would suggest that two of those instances resulted from a proper application of the LotG. Doku was tripped by the goalkeeper, and a blind, drunk and semi-comatose man would have spotted that on the pitch. Robertson was offside and didn't afford Don Corlerumma a view of it, and did anyone look more sheepish than Robertson when the ball went in. And isn't it about time we had a deflection. That was rub of the green alright but doesn't it feel even better when it nicks off Virgil. He had a game to forget, but Nathan can buy him a plate of poffertjes to cheer him up.Thought defending set pieces was okay till recently but the last 3 PL games we have conceded v Villa, Bournemouth and Dippers from corners though Dippers was ruled out and Bournemouth should have been a foul but they won the headers nevertheless. Brilliant win yesterday, great first 70 minutes but we did get the rub of the green finally with the 1st 2 goals and theirs ruled out. Great to go into yet another international break with the win
We've been a better side since he played his first game against Newcastle, some very strange 'City' fansListening to TalkShite on the school run this morning and there were two scousers having a fight on whether Slot should leave or not haha!
People can say what they like about Pep, and a lot have said he was only about money and never that good, but he has consistently managed to successfully integrate midfielders into the fullback position in multiple teams now. All 3 teams he's managed have had midfielders in left or rb at some point, and been successful.
Nico G, for me, has been outstanding of late. I know people were moaning about him a couple games back but i really like him, now he's figured out the pace of the game here he's managing it well, just like Rodri did after his first season. The partnership with Bernardo was really nice, just imagine for a minute that he plays alongside Rodri in some games!
Doku has still had a couple of poor games but you can see he is slowly starting to piece things together in the City shirt, he was amazing yesterday.
Bang on with Nico, And yes some fans called our Ballon D’Or winner “Plodri” when he first arrived.Listening to TalkShite on the school run this morning and there were two scousers having a fight on whether Slot should leave or not haha!

I noticed it on MOTD. I also commented on that exact same look when they equalised at ours just before Sane scored the winner. I've not seen it in another player - it's an arrogance, a smugness, a "they thought they were something didn't they?" kind of look. Wonderful to see it wiped off.The smug look on Van Dijks face before he knew the goal had been ruled out is wonderful.
Agree but I think Salah looked poor because he was matched for speed pace & power by our home grown, genuine City fan NICO O’REILLYWatched the highlights again. Can’t believe how much Salah has dropped off. Hardly looks interested, and doesn’t at all when they lose the ball. A few years ago his running down that right hand channel would have been the stuff of nightmares for us. Yesterday he was offside nearly every time he was put through down there, and when he wasn’t, Nico O’Reilly had him in his pocket. Couldn’t believe the number of times Nico went over to challenge him and made it look like he had some sort of ball magnets on his toes - almost effortlessly relieving Salah of the ball every time. That one late on where Nico had been down with cramp a few moments before, then managed to get up, get back and nonchalantly poke the ball away from Salah near the corner was magnificent.
They have been found out big time, and it’s wonderful.
