I expected us to lose, after all we got spanked there last season. The best team won last night in my opinion, a little bit of luck but no less than you deserved.
I think I now know why Klopp doesn’t do brilliantly in finals, when he sets up not to lose, his teams lack what they’ve made a name for themselves for. It’s going to be interesting to see how this affects us in the next few games, and reading these comments I’d say most city fans consider themselves back on top (which they might be come February)

What is with scousers not knowing when the trophy gets handed out? We’re not bothered about February, it’s May that’s the important month, didn’t you learn anything in 2014? ...;-)

You’re still 4 points clear so you’re still favourites as far as I’m concerned. But if we can keep within 3 or 4 points of you going into April/May then you’ll have your work cut out. Our experience in the run in doesn’t guarantee we’d win the title but it certainly counts for a lot. We just need to “keep you honest” which in my experience isn’t something scousers find easy. :)

I thought Manchester city were the best team in the history of the premier league?
Liverpool struggled to get 4th last season and are only a bunch of dippers according to a lot on here.

Probably a blessing for you that it’s FA Cup weekend rather than straight back into league action, but like you say it’ll be interesting to see how last night affects both teams in the coming weeks. Obviously it’ll all be in vain for us if we were to drop points against Wolves at home! We need to kick off from this and go on a proper run now.
Yeah, I can see us having a wobble in the cup. Never usually say this but I’d be happy getting kicked out of the 2 cups we’re still in and concentrating on this league, this is the best chance we’ve had in a longer time than a lot of fans can remember.
Good to see City fans embracing the boo the opposition approach, it works.

Hopefully the other teams will see this as a marker which is the best way to beat them is to try..

I'm not sure there are many teams in the league that can do what we did last night. Top quality precision goals, intense pressing and managing to contain their front 3 to limited chances. Maybe the best option for the mid-table sides is to sit back and counter-attack.

Not being from either city helps me see that both are as bad or good as each other.
Regardless of who’s favourite, we now have what looks like a proper title fight and that’s better than the procession from last year.

Watched Vvd an old fashion centre back who never stops talking to the back four and organising them keeps everything simple! He is holding that defence together he out long term be lucky yo finish 4th.
