Liverpool (H) - Post-Match Thread

Sane isn't even starting for the German gobshites, he's playing the same role as he did here, coming on and scoring the odd goal.
We won our last title with him being out half the season and when he came back he was on the bench 9 times out 10.
Yes exceptional player but he took the piss out of us with his half arsed attitude and pulling his face.
Bayern are better than us and have actual competition for Sane in his position. If Sane was here now, he would be in this current side every week and we would look a much better outfit. His attitude is questionable and that is why I said "if he wants it enough".

Sterling looked scared to me, while KDb was way off, he did have one good pass to Jesus which needed fair bit of tricky first touch from Jesus to create the chance but KDB lost so many easy balls, he was just off.
KDB looked tired, mentally too, early November only it is a bit of a worry. Now he will play two games for Belgium too possibly, last thing we need him picking up an injury.

But I dont know why KDB had to play 85 minutes vs Marseille, or Walker 82 minutes.

worst is there will be two cannon fodder games in CL, the 5th and 6th game in group, and you know Pep will complain about how hard the fixture list, how hard players have it, yet KDB and Walker will play again close to 90 minutes in both games.

Liverpool were much better in first 25 minutes, we created absolute nothing in that period, but after Jesus goal Klopp got scared, changed their formation which was not really good for them, Firmino had to be subbed off too soon, and they were there for taking as they knew we can unlock their defence.

Missing the pen was such a low, they had one they punished us with it, we did not do the same, why?

We lost out on both Monaco CL tie and Tottenham CL tie on less away goals scored and we missed pen in both ties (Kun).
Mahrez missed one at Anfield in last minute at 0-0. now KDB missing this.
And we missed many others too in last couple of years.

I wonder whats our pen conversion rate under Pep compared to rivals.

They dominated the first 25 minutes and I thought we were in for a very bad day, we scored a great goal which changed the match, we were far more comfortable and the better team, we created more chances than them, the ref was shocking no surprise, I think gundo and rodri are decent players but not together, it was 2 points lost rather than 1 gained.

I don't want Pep to go at the end of this season but it wouldn't bother me too much if he did. We need something or someone to give us a kick it seems.
Just remember what happened to Bolton when they got rid of Allardyce and Charlton when Pardew went

This will be the most extraordinary premier league season ever

As I said in a post last week, we just need to keep in touch with the leaders until the end of Jan, then our squad quality will pull us through

I very much doubt it.
The squad hasn't changed much since he left, Bernardo gets in before Leroy and Bernardo isn't getting much game time, i even think pep would go with mahrez before sane. Now with have torres who looks like he has great potential and a positive attitude and was half the price of sane and a few years younger.

Liverpool are cheats.

We're shit at penalties, unless it's a shoot-out for some reason.

I still don't understand why Pep doesn't make subs earlier.

Personnel wise we haven't changed much but the performances of the personnel certainly has. When Sane was here, we had Sterling firing on all cylinders and Bernardo was arguably our best player. There was little argument that Sane would be in rotation with players who were at the top of their game. The same cannot be said now, Sane walks into this current side. Torres looks a great prospect but he has a hell of a long way to go to get anywhere near Sane levels. Sane left, Jesus up top and Sterling on the right and all of a sudden we would be a major threat again.
