Liverpool (H) | Post match thread

Disappointed we didn't take all 3 points, we missed to many chances, but that's been a season long issue. More annoyingly the goals we conceded weren't because Liverpool were particularly brilliant, but more of our own doing, poor clearance's or mistakes.

Thought Liverpool were lucky to finish the game with 11 players, they should have had at least one red, probably 2.

It's still in our hands and if we show the same desire in the final games we'll be Ok.

Really? After all the chances to stop that goal you start from their goalkeeper?
Sorry pal but that’s fucking mental
It started it. They scored 30 seconds after that. What's mental is coming out 2-1 up in the second half, having kick off and giving them back possession straight away when every man and their dog knew they were gonna come at us. Gifting them the ball was lunacy. Agree there were opportunities to prevent after but no, nothing I said there is mental.

Football should be about spontaneous fun. VAR is about correcting CLEAR AND OBVIOUS mistakes. It's not remotely clear or obvious whether he was offside. When goals this like are chalked off, it spoils the game completely. I would much rather have goals like this allowed to stand as it's not clear that anyone made a mistake.

I really dislike VAR, it kills any enjoyment of goals being scored.
But “clear and obvious” only applies to subjective calls. Offside decisions are classed as objective, factual decisions and do not fall under the “clear and obvious” errors only rule.

We pulled out righty so. Levy got greedier then he normally is after seeing us pay 100m for Grealish.

Fitting an out and out Striker into our play will be interesting next season, which 1 of the rotating excellent front 6 misses out?

Don't think it will be as straightforward as saying Haaland or whoever scores a bagful for us in our current set up.

We were excellent today but reckon Gundog finishes a couple of those balls across the box, but equally would we have created so many without Raz, Phil and Jesus playing how they did today?

This is what you get with Pep, so many qaulity midfield and forward options and no drop off when rotated,

I love it.
Kane better fit then Haaland. I think pep rightly doesn't trust VAR ( I wonder why?) An out an out CF would be a nightmare for us.. those weird line drawers at Stockley Park would have a field day. At least Kane drops deep and comes onto the ball late..Pep has obsessed about overlaps and under laps..hard to be offside from by line cut backs. Pep knows VAR is there to be 'got at' ! Dark practices indeed.

Not having that mate. Stones, Cancelo and and Laporte were asleep and complacent. Nowt to do with Ederson

I knew that submarine shaped ball would come back to haunt us
In that last 10 mins I’m thinking if these lot pinch a late winner how would that affect us for the game on Wednesday/Saturday and the rest of the season.
Never felt comfortable at all today.
well they didn’t and now that can worry about us
