How the fuck did we manage to make this game a must win?!?!? Crystal Palace?!?! Roy hodgson?!?!? Leicester aren’t exactly up to much either. How can klopp more or less play the same players week in week out with little to no injuries yet our players look knackered and start falling apart? Our players are rotated regularly so why do they seem so what is it?

Maybe a part is most of our best players are getting on now and can't handle the longer season like they used to? Maybe?

Don't forget bricking our coaches after the 3-2 when we stood up for the 96 impecible during the minutes silence and still smashed the coaches even though they won. I hope Sterling shows up this time, he does struggle vs Liverpool.
Can't remember the last time that a player of ours had a stormer against his ex club.

Cheer the living shit out of him every time he gets the balls to drown out the red whiners.. it would help him heaps.

I would imagine there’s zero chance Mahrez is getting picked ahead of Sane for this one, barring any injuries.

I bloody hope Sane is starting ahead of Mahrez. Definitely need to go with Sterling and Sane on the wings.

My theory is that it has something to do with Pep's methods and the mental demands they place on the players. The man is a perfectionist and seeks footballing perfection. Our players have been pretty much switched on for the last 18 months and because they're not machines, it's starting take its toll on them. Especially when you throw in the world cup into the equation. They simply haven't had a rest in a long long time. That's my theory.

Liverpool have simply won more games ugly with a lot of good luck and good defending. Our luck has reverted back to Peps first season when the opposition score with very few chances. I haven't seen the stats but I would guess we concede less GS opportunities per goals scored and I don't remember Alisson making many world class saves.

As always teams that keep their key players fit and in form tend to win the League, we have missed KDB big time.

This game is similar to the one we won v United when Kompany scored and we know the rest. If we can pull it back to 4 points then we will see if Liverpool can handle the pressure as they have no history of doing so when it comes to the crunch.

Happy new year to all blue mooners ! I agree with you, Mahrez tracks back and defends better than Sane. Playing Raheem and Sane together in this game will be suicidal given that both of them try always to take players on leaving us exposed to counter attacks if they lose the ball which has been happening more often than not lately; whereas, Mahrez tends to play it safe and does not attemp dribles unless necessary. I hope Mahrez starts as we can not afford to lose today.

Mahrez pulls out of every 50/50 tackle, and I’d say that in recent weeks sane has tracked back well.

Amazes me how time changes. Few years back, before we won the league, Liverpool were supporting us over united. Now cant see that happen and for sure between City and Liverpool, united might rather hope that we win the league and gift their game nd do everything within their might to stop them from marching to the 19th.

Exciting times for Premiere League for no league is tougher than the BPL across the world and all the top 6 teams if they were anywhere else in Europe, would have been league champions of their respective leagues, including the bottling spurs and start stop gunners.
