Liverpool struggle massively against sides that press and energetic all over the park. Funnily enough I think Alvarez coming in for Haaland will cause them huge problems, We all know Haaland is an absolute machine on front of goal but Alvarez offers something that Haaland also doesn't and that's a fabulous press and getting around dropping into midfield ect We will out work them, Outrun them and outplay them.
Make no mistake about it, Liverpool are a million miles off what they used to be and we'll prove it tomorrow lunchtime.
Fully confident we will win this game, They won't be able to live with this City side.
Our issue in previous games at home to Liverpool is taking our foot off the gas when we get the lead and not taking our chances. We always seem to make an error and they score the few chances they get. It was the same in the 2-2 last season and the 3-2 win. They kept coming back despite us dominating. They don't have the quality or energy in the midfield to support the press now so we should beat them comfortably as long as we cut out errors and take our chances. Haaland is a big miss, but we have enough to cope and we owe them a thrashing.
