I could put my entire bank account (which is £6.72p) :) on Alvarez playing week in week out on either side of Haaland. He made a huge difference when he came on.

The concern is having played two seasons with no striker players being patient holding onto the ball to find openings...We don't have to do that anymore! Numerous times the ball was in today and the wide players along with KDB holding onto it when they could have slipped in Haaland. It will take time but it will come.

thought we played well in patches today but just didn’t do enough to win

Thought his first touch and lay offs were poor against us when we played them in QFs

We had them on the ropes after the equaliser until the handball, then predictably our heads dropped. anyway the important game is next week.

We had a Hand literally in 3 of the 4 goals.

Many games against these, it is like our Team Bus run over a Black Cat just before kick off.

First half we were very poor - second half we dominated until Dias inexplicably gave the referee a decision to make.
Had he not done that they whole agenda would be different.
Anyway, those are the margins in football where it’s all about the result.

In spite of the obvious negatives (Dias, Rodri) there were lots of positives for City today so not a bad day at the office.

Alvarez looked good, though.

Haaland’s miss at the end was unbelievable.
