I'm quite relaxed about this one considering it's an FA Cup Semi-Final and it's Liverpool.

If we win, we dent their confidence a bit and take the momentum in to Brighton. It also ends their dreams of a quadruple and keeps our hopes of a treble alive.

If we lose, it's one less game for us to play and one more for them which could affect league from. You'd like to think we'd see a reaction in our next league game too. Also, the quadruple talk will really start to intensify and they may start to crack under the pressure.

Lots of space in behind both defences today on that big pitch
The long ball over the defence is a good weapon on this pitch
That “big pitch” is the same size as the Etihad and 95% of premier league pitches.

If ever there was a match we need to survive the opening 25 minutes it’s this one. No doubt Liverpool will charge out of the blocks trying to make us feel tired and leggy. We need to stay in the game early, anything we can nick early on is a bonus.

Hopefully Sterling, Jesus and Mahrez will give us some energy. Their back four was all over the place on Sunday so there will be opportunities.
2 up after 25min it is then!

for me the front 3 has to be foden sterling jesus - that front 3 will press the liverpool back 4 all day and they dont like it...it has pace to get in behind and lots of work rate as well...

this what serves us well vs the scousers

midfield3 has to be bernardo, KDB and rodri - playing gundogan vs liverpool can cause an issue - he struggles with their intesity at times......but it all depends on the fitness of KDB

Back 4 - hopefully walker is fit as we need his pace and it allows cancello to play on the left where he is better.....

If Dias is fit to play id drop Laporte personally but that would be quite harsh potentially

Ederson in goal but im guessing Pep will play Steffan as a guess as he is the cup keeper.....if it goes to penalties he is potentially slightly better in this situation that Eddie but for the overall game and our build up Ederson is the obious choice

Just feel that the midweek battle will have taken it out of us.
Gundogan struggles? He scored twice at Anfield last year ...
