Think we are in for a surprise this afternoon and a very good one at that.
Etihad has the largest pitch size and dippers one of the smallest, should suit us better….Lots of space in behind both defences today on that big pitch
The long ball over the defence is a good weapon on this pitch
These guys are athletes and used to playing every three days plus the bounce from reaching the semi chumps league. So I don’t hold with the theory of tired legs. It’s what we do being involved at the business end of the season. I’d gladly take 6 points from the next 2 league games against a result today.for me the front 3 has to be foden sterling jesus - that front 3 will press the liverpool back 4 all day and they dont like it...it has pace to get in behind and lots of work rate as well...
this what serves us well vs the scousers
midfield3 has to be bernardo, KDB and rodri - playing gundogan vs liverpool can cause an issue - he struggles with their intesity at times......but it all depends on the fitness of KDB
Back 4 - hopefully walker is fit as we need his pace and it allows cancello to play on the left where he is better.....
If Dias is fit to play id drop Laporte personally but that would be quite harsh potentially
Ederson in goal but im guessing Pep will play Steffan as a guess as he is the cup keeper.....if it goes to penalties he is potentially slightly better in this situation that Eddie but for the overall game and our build up Ederson is the obious choice
Just feel that the midweek battle will have taken it out of us.
I'm envious of them.Sounds like you fancy his calves mate :)
Or this season, but it’s well known his body doesn’t hold up well playing twice a week over long periods, better to rest him now, but I suppose the med team will know bestStones hasnt played too much this last 8 weeks
I hope you are right mate, as I fear 3 or 4-1.
The midfield legs are knackered. Would love to see Delap in the starting line up and at least get a supply line in to him.
He's a big lad and can also hold it up for our midfield runners.
That's why I would drop either Phil or Grealish into KDB's spot next to Bernardo...
