Liverpool or United - Which fixture is more important?

Whilst anything can happen in sport we have without any doubt the best team in our history playing the best football. We have three full days rest between games and a fabulous squad. Go strong go to win them all. These players deserve that opportunity. To bring and play their best game on the biggest stage with the best support for the highest rewards.

We are all just a moment from disaster now this moment is what matters

“Right here Right Now”

Lets all give it all we’ve got and see what we can do.
Indeed!

It’s rather simple now (given the latest round of interviews and news bits coming out of City camp and Pep) ... win 4-0 (to us) tomorrow at Anfield (ok, ok, maybe even a 3-1 or 4-2 to us) and Pep would play the first choice eleven at the derby and go full steam ahead to try and win the league ... but lose tomorrow or take home a draw or just a one off away goal, then there’s no way Pep is giving any importance to the derby and all focus would be on that return leg next Tuesday ... whether some of us like it or not, but this is what is happening ... so our best bet for all is a huge win tomorrow at Anfield that kills the tie there and then and then all our focus can shift to the derby and perhaps such a big win would carry that momentum and feel good factor into the derby as well and help get that title this weekend itself ... but if this CL tie has any dependency on the second leg (even if we have a narrow win like 1-0 or 2-1 to us) I fully expect Pep to keep the focus on the return leg itself ...

Next 270 mins are very important,A win on derby day and passage to Semis in UCL will send a big part of media and pundits within days of each other to a state of absolute shock
This is the stuff dreams are made of with the list of soccer shaturday talkshite bullshjt broadcasting coy scumday supplement followed up by the fail the scum the mirror it will be marvellous

I think the rags game is more important to the rags than the scourers game is to the scourers.
The Scouse know they're playing second fiddle. They're just hoping to salvage a bit of pride and that they don't go out until the second leg.
The rags still think they are in a bad patch and normal service will be resumed imminently. Ickle City winning the title against them will shatter that illusion - for a few, anyway.

Which is more important? Liverpool without a doubt. As others have said plenty of other opportunities to win the League.

Which would I rather win? United without a doubt - opportunity unlikely to arise again (for all their “twenty times” they’ve never won it against us), plus getting past Liverpool will mean a semi against Real, Bayern or Barca probably, and then a final so no guarantee of success.

Whatever way you look at it the fact we’re struggling with such questions is a sign of our meteoric rise. “Oh we never win at home...”

A masterstroke by Pep. After the Everton win there was a fair bit of euphoria from the players, clearly salivating at the prospect of winning the title against United. Pep has basically told them "Well you might not be playing against United so can you please focus on the Liverpool game?"

Its also creates mayhem for Mourinho's preparations for the game. Should he spend all week working on his plan to stop Silva & De Bruyne when one or both might not start? How big a bus will he need?

Pep will obviously make the 2 or 3 changes that he always makes whenever we have played a game in midweek. He might also decide to give Kompany a rest since 4 games in 11 days could be too big a risk. Whether he goes further and rests players such as De Bruyne, Silva, Fernandhino, Sane or Walker is a different matter. If those players want to play against United then they have an even greater incentive to kill off the CL tie tommorrow.

The result of the first leg will dictate the selection for the derby.

Spanner in the works ... forget the second leg now and focus all on the derby and win title ... or all focus on the second leg and play kids in the derby?

In my humble opinion only a big win in the derby and sealing the title would give us the push, momentum and confidence for the second leg ... draw or lose on weekend and we have no chance of lifting ourselves up next Tuesday ... need 4 goals already and that is if they don’t score one, else we need minimum of 5 ...
