Liverpool Post Match Thread

Poor performance as a whole and disappointing to see the same mistakes repeated by Pelle yet again. When he joined we were sold the idea of him being "The Engineer" who perfects his tactics to suit the players available and opponent we are playing but unfortunately that couldn't be further from reality.

We got a manager who plays formations which doesn't suit our personnel, appears to pay no thought to how our opponents will play against us and my biggest annoyance is the inability to make any decisive decisions once he has sent them out to play.

Pelle is a lovely man and I appreciate he has steadied the ship, played great football at times and helped grow our "entertaining football" brand the club seems to want to sell, with other clubs fans admitting they enjoy watching us play, however I can't help think with our squad we should be doing much better and more importantly playing consistently well rather on the whim of certain players turning up on the day.

Liverpool could get close to the top come the season end. They've played away at ours, Arsenal, Utd, Spurs, Chelsea and Everton. Probably the toughest 6 grounds in the league for them and they look to be getting closer to what Klopp wants.

Disappointing how we go on about Utd being shit week in week out yet they're ahead of us.

Fucking depressing.

First home game I've missed for a while, because of work and what a game to miss.
I got shown the team sheet beforehand and feared the worst seeing MDM picked before Ottamendi and Yaya protecting him. Who in the right mind sets up like that against a high pressing team. Its so obvious its embarrassing.
He is certainly an enigma our Pellers. He baffles me at times but he always remains calm and doesn't change his beliefs, (to his own detriment). We still remain in a healthy position in all competitions but we have been very fortunate in a number of games and also lucky to get the rub of the green against Borussia M and Seville at home. Our injuries are my biggest worry, how many times have Kompany, Silva and Aguero started together in the last few years? I would guess about 25% in the last 2 seasons. I just hope this serves as another wake up call like United away last season.
I'm sorry but I don't like chopping and changing managers but we need a change at the helm next summer. Its the missing link in our quest to be a dominant force. Pellers is a good manager but not an elite manager. When Klopp left Dortmond I wanted him more so than Guardiola. Guardiola or Carlo has to be a priority this summer.

Our squad is pretty over rated if you ask me. Loads of average players mixed in there. Unfair on Kun and Silva who easily could be playing for Real or Barca.

What pisses me off more than anything is that we're gonna see this performance again. Pellers will, undoubtedly, pull this shit over and over.
This.
Many times last season I thought well at least he must have learnt his lesson now and will change things.
But he didn't , he kept on repeating the same mistakes time and time again.
Don't be surprised to see the same line up against the Saints next Saturday.

Doubt it. They're a 5th or 6th place side but no better than that. We made them look a lot better than they really are.

He still can't understand that his piss poor starting 11 cost us?
When I saw the teamsheet I knew we'd struggle but the performance of pretty much everyone was below par. Well perhaps not Joe. You can't pass the ball to someone if there is nobody trying to get into space and he did make FIVE one on one saves. If they'd have gone in the score would have been VERY embarrassing.
