Liverpool - post match thread.

Was delighted to get Pep - anyone after the last passenger - but I said at the time Klopp was the perfect fit for us but unfortunately our top brass were all dewy eyed for Pep.
But Pep it was and I thought it would be a bumpy ride - but at least I thought he'd learn from his mistakes - not keep on making the same ones.
remind me how did Liverpool do last season with KLOPP? It takes time to go through a transition we have a lot of players who are coming to end of their time with us.

Pattern of play with Pep keep ball and tire the opposition, just lacking cutting edge in the 2nd half.

He is still the right manager we have a new option up front now, need some full backs that's all.

Needed the same for the last 2 seasons.

Played the whole 90 minutes on the back foot. Very poor, reactive and not enough aggression or desire to win the game.

I see everyone is jumping on the 'tippy, tappy' bandwagon.

It's hard not to mate.

That was a very "Van Gaal" performance. Loads of passing between defenders without getting anywhere.

I love to watch good football, but you have to go direct as well. Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and United all have the ability to pass the ball to their striker early (on the ground) and have quick combination play from there.

Defender passes to striker, lay off to an attaching midfielder who plays a diagonal pass in front of the winger. A pattern you will see time and time again with the above mentioned teams.

Also, for anyone blaming Pep, might I remind you that what we've just seen is not even close to Pep's style. It's largely a personnel issue.

So many passengers today. Kolarov and zabs were pathetic. Toure and Fernandinho were poor, speaking of dinho he was invisible for much of the game. Silva and kdb were just ok and aguero was horrible, completely invisible for much of the game. The only bright spots in my opinion were sterling and stones who I both thought played well

Rags will be singing what a feeling what a night to us next season unless we improve. Top 2 are miles better than us. Arsenal are slightly better than us, so it's a 3-way scrap to decide 4th, 5th and 6th. And rags are in the best form of those teams, with us looking the worst. Pretty worrying really.
