Liverpool - post match thread.

All these posters with the "it will all come good in the end" need to ask themselves this. Why? When was the last time Pep turned round an underperforming team? He has always started with the finished article. It doesn't mean he won't but it is no certainty. What pisses me off is he doesn't know the difference between evolution and Revolution. It is no excuse to say some of the players aren't up to it - if that's the case a good manager would play to the strengths of the team and evolve the style not go straight to it. No surprise that all our defenders had the most passes - says it all. My missus said at one throw in - why is my sons team are always taught to throw up the line and City always throw backwards down the line. We are too obsessed with building from the back when our players aren't up to it. Oh well - always got the FA Cup - well, until Friday when Pep pisses about with a back 2 or some other genius decision that shows how much better than us mere mortals he is

Yes you make some good points, enjoy your hogmany mate and take care if you are in town.

I'm of the opinion that Pep will fail at some point, the sun won't eternally shine out of his arse like some think , Lets hope this Barca 'Lite' model works.

Thank fuck we've got another £200m to throw at the problem short term.

OK Pep are you man enough to admit this isn't working ?
Monaco he would go up in my estimation so much,if he made a statement " I made a mistake over Joe Hart, forgive me and hopefully I won't make many more in the future!" What worries me though is to pigheaded to admit he was wrong and my assessment of him so far is that he is to smart for his own good!

Peps decision making was baffling but only person to blame for this season is Txiki.

Absolutely terrible buys and squad management.

Again why get the club to tread water for 3 years waiting for Pep and yet lumber him with players who can't play his style???

Thought you lacked a bit today but thought you might have snatched an equalizer when you had a spell in the second half. Difference with Spurs, although we are not as good as you guys, we can bring on someone like Son or a Lamela type off the bench to change things. Plus our full backs have so much energy they give us options going forwards than you guys. It seems years ago I see Zaba getting forwards well. Milner seemed to be forwards as much as he were back today which is a great thing to have

Disappointed but not too down. Klopp's had a 12 month head start on Pep. Tonight again for me our 'big' players simply weren't at it. Silva, KDB, Toure, Kun, Raz, Ferna, all IMO well below their best.

I do wonder whether mentally going into games with such enormous weaknesses at full back is affecting the players further forward.

If we don't buy defenders this month then you can take it to the bank we've given up on the title and are going to be focussed solely on the CL and making sure we finish top 4.
